Sounds like the ignitor is out........in the pic below the ignitor is #10, this is the piece that complets the circuit to the spinning connector which passes by each wired connection you see comming from the distrubor cap itself....this is something you can possibly pick up from special order at a parts store near you, or it may just be a few more dollars, and way easier to simply replace it....that though is entirely up to you, but i will not be able to refer you to someone that has that particular part at this time

1996 City chico. No fire on the distributor. I replaced the electronic coil, had the distributor and the "module" tested. Still nothing. strater motor turns bur car doesnt start! Its got the small sol

Get yourself a test light/continuity tester, the one with the point on it, turn the ignition switch on and check if have power on the wire to the distributor. Since the distributor's been tested, you know its good, so the only thing it could be is no power to the distributor.

78 chevy 350 motor has no spark or power to the distributor

there has to be a wire from the coil to the distributor to the points inside the distributor
if it has points , check that they are not shorted out and that the moving point is insulated from the distributor plate
check for a condenser attached to the moving point and fixed to the distributor body
if it has an electronic system , it could be a problem igniter unit in the distributor

Try replacing the rotor, distributor cap. If nothing, then distributor is bad.

Check to make sure the rotor button in the distributor is turning when the engine is turning,if not,the timing chain has broken,if it is,replace the distributor.

We have power to the coil but nothing to the distributor what could it be doing

Need to connect a spark plug directly to the output of the coil. This is the one going into the center of the distributor. If you have spark then the rotor and the distributor cap needs to be replaced. If there is no spark then your coil is bad. It needs a replacement. Hope this can help.
