Its possible that you are interesting in check the service manual ZJ-Secc-14-Fuel-System
sounds like you have a electric problem some how the fan has a complete circuit for it to run. trace the wires for breaks or damage. possible the ignition cylinder is worn out
You want a fan motor from a 93-95 taurus or sable.
The fan connects to the motor differently so you will want to get a fan/motor assembly from a junk yard (I spent $15). You will transfer the plastic fan to your jeep. You can use either the old motor or get a replacement for about $70.
One other thing - the taurus/sable motor has a different electrical connector so you will need to do some splicing.
