Toyota pick up 94, engine starts ok but when comming towards stop sign engine vibrates and goes off. I put in new spark plugs, new oxygen sensor, and new fuel filter, engine still vibrates when comming to stop.

Idling goes down it is about .8 and engine shake little.some times work excellentI replace spark plugs with new but it is same.any sugestions?

For car not changing gears it can be shifter assembly issue, or it can also be transmission issue. Get the shifter assembly inspected with ignition OFF.

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. ENGINE MISFIRE

There are few possibilities that can cause engine misfire issues. It can be issue with spark plugs or faulty spark plugs. Also get the compression test done for cylinders. If any of cylinder shows low compression then required, then that particular cylinder will cause misfire.

Also get obd codes scanned, the error code will let you know which cylinder is misfiring or all cylinders are misfiring.

This vehicle does not use points, it has a solid state magnetic pick up to trigger ignition. Try changing the air filter. A dirty air filter can put the MAF ( mass airflow sensor) out of range.

The O2 sensor should be on the Exhaust manifold or pipe.

Raise the vehicle and support it with jack stands and try to disconnect the electrical connector. Then unscrew the sensor from the Exhaust Manifold and you might need the O2 socket to do so as its available at any autopart store, Be careful no to damage the threads, then Try to put in the New O2 sensor and be careful with the head of the sensor not to damage it and the installation is the reverse of the removal. and connect the electrical connector back and start your car.

I still don't understand How an O2 effect your car starting because it has no relation with starting. But any how hope this helps and if you got any other questions Bro , Feel free. Good luck

is the your car engine cranking when you try to start, first check spark plugs ignition coils, remove one ignition coil and spark plug fix the spark plug in to the ignition coil then connect ignition coil to wiring and keep spark plug body touching on ground of engine head mettle parts, ask some one to crank engine then you can see is the plug sparking or not, do the same way to all the coils and plug otherwise you have to buy a ignition spark tester, is the all the coils and spark plugs are OK then check the fuel pump, it's sitting in under rear seat, before that do one thing disconnect oxygen (O2) sensor wiring and crank engine, the thing is if your oxygen sensor completely dead fuel pump will stop working, if engine start after disconnect O2 sensor, replace new O2 sensor, otherwise need to check fuel pump relay fuse and fuel pump. is this information helped you? please vote me and give a comment.

ya its running very rich that why it makes that black smoke,this carbon is made because the sparks plugs does not make a good and sufficient spark,so i advice u to change the 4 spark plugs,also renew the air filter

Idle flare is normal on all newer fuel injected cars. I think maybe you got a little paranoid,probably first spark plug change done by you. Gas milelage is easily explained in 2 ways, one the gov't is making the gas companies put oxygenated fuel into the gas & 2 you could go with a set of bosch oxygen sensors,pick up 15% more gas mileage

check all motor mounts first. if they are ok then check to make sure all cylenders are firing. try pulling one plug wire off the spark plug and see if the engine changes sound or anything. if it does, put the wire right back on then move to the next one and repete. if you pull one and it does not change then that plug is not firing. could be caused by a crack in the porcelian in the plug or bad plug wire connection or bad wire

My rio kia bought on from uyi technical dealer in benin city, edo state of nigeria only 4 months ago is vibrating with noise while driving. The noise is noticed by other road users even in motion, making a very loud noise or sound that is highly embarrassing. The dealer mechanics have checked more than twice yet no result, instead the hub bearing is observed; tyres are turn over yet the noise persists.

sounds like a coil or oxygen sensor! you should scan the code if engine light is on but if i were you i would start with the following! usually if the oxygen sensor is gone they get hot it will shut the car down when cooled it will do it again usually when stopped most likely coil could be stopped or in your travel? hope this helps get coil treated before changing it!!!if desired
