This sounds like a generator problem or a dead cell in battery. If you have a local Autozone, Advanced Autoparts, or Oreilly Auto Parts they can check battery and charging system for free at the curb side. If your battery has a dead cell in it it wont hold a charge. Since you say you jumped the vehicle that means the alternator/generator is putting out some voltage to keep car running.. but it may be under performing and not producing enough volts 13.5 or higher to charge battery.

In this years model the OEM battery was sealed and maintenance free so there should not be a need to add water and I agree not something that should be done at home. A dead cell will not be fixed by water of any type.

New alternator and battery. Now all dash lights are on when jump started. Wont start on its own.

Do the dash lights go out after jump starting ? Did you check what the voltage is at the battery while running , should be 13.1 to 14.1 .or more on some computer controlled charging systems ! What are you using to jump start the vehicle ? When disconnecting what ever your using to jump start the vehicle , does the vehicle die right away ?

After having had to jump start the battery, the camera and radio don't work. How do you reset it or check to see if something got disconnected when jumped.?

Normally jump starting doesn't involve disconnecting anything. You put the leads from a good battery onto the terminals of the bad battery and start the vehicle. I hope you didn't put the good battery on, start the vehicle and remove the battery with the engine still running and connect the old one? That is a recipe to cause electrical damage as the charge from the alternator has nowhere to dissipate its excess amps.

Check your fuses.

Battery went dead so I jumped it with a power pack 350 amp. It starts but runs rough and eventually dies and all lights flash and speedometer needle jumps back and forth.

Sound like your alternator is shot. Do the test ..After you charge the batery or get it boosted if you remove the positive battery post OFF the battery and the engine dies right away your alternator if shot .

Okay so my friend has a Kia Forte Coupe and I think it's a 2009 or 2010 and a friend used her car to jump hers and after she tried to start her car, my friends died as well. Once it was jumped by...

some vehicles cannot be jump started from another vehicle with the engine running on donna starter as it damages the ecu. you just use the battery or a jump starter system. so time if you remove the battery and put on charge with a battery charger the time it takes for the battery to be fully charged should give the ecu time to drain down on its components. if you leave the ignition and lights on with the battery disconnected. but only jump start without the other vehicle's engine running.

My 2007 dodge charger didn't crank so I jumped it

A battery from 07 is still decently new to be that bad, but I would check the alternator first, just get the car running and unhook the positive cable from the battery, if the car dies the alternator is bad.

you did not mention in your post that you actually had to "jump start" your vehicle so I can only assume that the dash light is the concern

in other words, there is a short in your alternator warning light

if however, you actually have to jump start the vehicle then your battery drain could be coming from just about any one of the 6 computers on your vehicle and/or just the fact that you do not use/drive your vehicle enough

for this vehicle you MUST drive at least 20 minutes at highway speeds to recharge the battery

multiple short trips in a week will be enough to kill even the BEST batteries

the wire will go from the post on the alternator the one with the nut to the hot post on the starter then another cable will go from the starter on the same post to the positive on the battery. however if the car died tells me something else is not right because the vehicle doesnt run off of the battery it is merely to start it then the alternator feeds the power while running. you should be able to remove the battery while running and should still keep running

Take off jumper cables it dies

You're alternator is dead. Once started the alternator should generate enough power by itself to keep the engine running.

I used my f 150 to jump and it died

possibly your relay got fried or maybe you did the wrong tapping on your battery lead or you probably damaged your alternator IC regulator/ when you jump up another car make sure to do the right connection on your positive and negative lead battery and make sure your car is running to give more power to your battery.
