A common issue on the series II 3.8 is the upper intake leaking coolant into the cylinders filling them with coolant. What occurs is the engine hydrolocking. The starter will engage but the motor will not turn over. If doing work yourself remove all the spark plugs first and crank the engine over if the engine is hydrolocked all the coolant will blow out of the cylinders .If the motor now turns over then the upper intake needs replaced as well as the spark plugs and oil.

it's possible that it could be a clogged converter, is there anyway you can disconnect the converter from the engine and then try to start the car
