Question about 1993 Isuzu Amigo
It could be a bunch of things, but let's assume it is the fuel, Water or crud in the gas tank will usually make the engine just cut right out and come right back, If it runs some what, and you can hear the fuel pump come on when you turn the key, the fuel pump should be ok, only a pressure test will tell you more. Fuel filter might be clogged, but the fuel sitting in the carb for five years is the biggy. It dries out and turns into rock, especially in the jets, the bowl usually turns into jelly, I would get some gas treatment in the tank, and some carb cleaner in the spray can, this is the easiest way to fix it if it does anything at all. Run the fuel through if you are driving it, and take the air horn or filter off and spray in the carb cleaner with the engine running. If you don't notice a big difference, I would go ahead and get the carb rebuilt or replaced with a used one or new, whichever. Sometimes the cleaner will do the trick. Check it out.
