I got an oli change the other day and the look

I got an oli change the other day and the oil look like it was white what cause that. I got a coolant system check and everything was find.

When the oil look milky white,need have to check brown head gasket or not, especial on northstar motor.

The oil is white because water from the cooling is mixed with it. Stop using the car immediately and fix it (most likely a blown head gasket) or you will destroy your engine in a hurry.

My car has white smoke coming from the exhaust


he causes of white exhaust smoke can vary; however, it is common to see white exhaust smoke when first starting a car, especially on cooler days. This is generally steam caused by condensation. As the engine warms up and the condensation dissipates the white exhaust smoke (steam) is no longer seen. If excessive white exhaust smoke is present well after the engine warms up, it is necessary to have the car inspected for possible internal coolant leaks. Indicators of an internal coolant leak include billowing white exhaust smoke accompanied by a sweet odor or a low coolant reservoir level. An internal coolant leak can also contaminate the engine oil giving it a frothy, milky appearance. Even small amounts of coolant entering the combustion chamber will produce white exhaust smoke.
One of the main causes of white exhaust smoke and coolant loss is a cracked or warped cylinder head, a cracked engine block, or head gasket failure caused by overheating. A cracked head may allow coolant to leak into one or more cylinders or into the combustion chamber of the engine. Dirty coolant, a poorly maintained cooling system, a low coolant level, or a non-functioning cooling fan can cause engine overheating. In addition, engine wear can eventually cause the gaskets to lose their capacity to seal properly allowing internal coolant loss. Intake manifold gasket and head gasket failures are two of the most common sources of internal coolant loss caused by engine wear.
Never remove the radiator cap or coolant reservoir cap while the engine is hot or running as it can cause serious injury; always allow the car to cool down completely first. Checking for a low coolant level in the reservoir is the first step in determining if coolant loss is causing the white exhaust smoke. If the coolant reservoir is at the proper level but excessive white exhaust smoke is present, a cooling system pressure check is required to determine where, if any, coolant leaks are located.

ck your coolant for a mixture of oil & coolant & any coolant in your oil. Sounds like a faulty head gasket or bad valve. where any of the plugs wet with oil or coolant? If so head gasket or valves. good luck

does car heat. if dops water on dip stick it could meen crack in head gasket.milky collour in oil is aways signe water getting in ti sump. watch out for heating. change oil see if colour in oil changes good luck

I ran my chev. 1990 pickup out of oil and now it smokes so bad. and i think my fuel pump is going out but not sure??


Sounds like you may have ruined the piston rings and this is allowing oil to seep in to the combustion chamber hence your smoke. Or if it overheated when you ran out of oil it is possible that you have a bad head gasket now. Check both your coolant and oil for signs, oil will have a white froth, or darkening of your coolant. The oli is getting into the water but not water into the oil?


Is coolant oil color now pink or brown?

If pink, transmission oil cooler failed.

If brown engine oil cooler failed, oil pressure is higher than coolant pressure.

Check the oil cooler for corrosion internally, problem is common.

Possible head gasket failed or worse, head cracked..

My 2009 H2 is idling rough for 2-5 min with a cool start, after 2 weeks of doing this, its now blowing white smoke on the first start of the day for 2-5 mins, after that it runs normally, I have NO...


My guess would be a leaking intake or head gasket. Water in the cylinder(s) is shorting the spark plug until the temp comes up on the engine. The white smoke is the coolant being burnt off. check your coolant level it may be low.

This problem is common but often over looked. Moisture vapor is a grayish white color but it dissipates very quickly. Smoke that is grayish white is caused specifically from burning oil. The problem you have is a small seal called a valve seal. It is very common in cars that sit a fair amount of the time. The seal gradually starts to leak and allow tiny drops of oil to drip into the combustion chamber. When the engine is started then it smokes until the oil is burned. Due to the amount of time that your car smokes after start tells me that the leak is very small. That is why there is no oil consumption. This is not going to harm the car unless it becomes very bad and then the only thing that would happen is more smoke and fouled plugs. You can start using a heavier weight oil and add an oil treatment to the oil when you have it changed. This may evin stop it all together. Hope this answered your question.
