YOU HAVE TO GET ENGINE BACK TO NUMBER 1 FIRING POSITION.BY REMOVING THE NUMBER 1 SPARK PLUG.TURN ENGINE USING A SOCKET WRENCH ON THE LARGE BOLT ON THE FRONT OF THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY.PLACE A FINGER NEAR THE NUMBER 1 SPARK PLUG HOLE AND TURN THE CRANKSHAFT UNTIL THE PISTON REACHES TDC.AS THE ENGINE APPROACHES TDC YOU WILL FEEL AIR BEING EXPELLED THROUGH THE NUMBER 1 CYLINDER SPARK PLUG HOLE.THE TIMING MARK ON THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY SHOULD NOW BE ALIGNED WITH THE 0 MARK ON THE TIMING SCALE.IF THE POSITION IS NOT BEING MET TURN THE ENGINE ANOTHER FULL TURN 360 DEGREES ONCE THE ENGINES POSITION IS CORRECT INSTALL THE SPARK PLUG.YOU NEED A PICTURES IN THE HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL OR CHILTON MANUAL. OF ENGINE AND DISTRIBUTOR FOR ENGINE FIRING ORDER.AND SPARK PLUGS WIRES ON DISTRIBUTOR AND WIRES TO THE CORRECT CYLINDERS. WHEN YOU GET EVERYTHING BACK TOGETHER.WHEN YOU TRY CRANKING THE TRUCK AND MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP TURN ON AND A DTC CODE P1345 SETS AFTER INSTALLING THE DISTRIBUTOR.THIS INDICATES AN INCORRECTLY INSTALLED DISTRIBUTOR.

Drive it to a shop and have them do it. What will happen is you wont be able to position it correctly without a data scanner. You don't set timing on these like an old truck. You need to cam sync it which requires a scanner to show postion and then you rev the engine while checking the position which ideally should be at zero plus or minus 2. Just hope this is your problem before you go to this expense to replace the distributor. If you have a MIS i'm doubting its the distributor if you already replaced the cap and rotor.

If you go to mitchell1diy and pay the ten bucks you have access to everything about your truck. It says the timing is not adjustable. You need to cam sync it like I have stated. Ask any mechanic before you waste your time trying to do it the old fashion way. If you already moved the distributor thinking is was going to solve a problem then the sympton you will have is a mis like condition. I have seen this several times.

Electrical failure after incorrectly installed battery.

I would suggest looking in the power distribution center. There should be a main fuse there. It would also help to list the year, make, and model of what your are working on.

I have a 2009 Chevy Malibu LT 2.4 liter engine. I need to know if fuses 3 and 51 (ECM) should be installed in the underhood fuse box next to the battery?

Chances are they were never there. Manufacturers will have numerous labelled unused fuses in their power distribution centers depending on make and model and vehicle application and vehicle accessories.

1997 Blazer 4.3 has a DTC P0300 only can be driven after warm up,but still misses most of the time. it passed E check when not missing and idle is smooth. have replaced all ignation parts. the EGR valve...

this code indicates multiple miss fire, which is not just one cylinder doing it.if this motor has a vortec motor in it the problem could be the injectors not operating properly or the lines to the injectors may be leaking into the intake causing a rich condition.it could be the egr valve stuck open just a bit causing a vacume leak and rough running.it could even be a problem with the pickup coil in the distributer or a cracked magnet.the ignition module could also cause the problem.

Running dtc p1345

You may have the distributer a tooth off and the computer can not calibrate the timing properly. Set the engine at (top-dead center) at the crank harmonic balancer and remove dist-cap to see if the "DTC" is off. If so, when distributer is out, you will have to use a longer flat head screw driver to reach down in the intake and turn the oil pump shaft to advance it for the re-installation of the distributer as it will turn when threading into the cam gear. Hope this helps.
