How to rest oil change/tire - 2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE

replace the timing belt , crank and cam shaft seal , hydraulic belt adjuster and idler pulleys ( 100,000 km limit)
rest of the service as per the service manual
if automatic . change the auto oil and if CV Transmission check with the dealer as the transmission oil to use as it is different to automatic oil

If a b14 code pops up on your Accord, you can fix it as follows:
1. Replace engine oil and filter
2. Check the tire pressure and rotate the tires
3. Check drive belt, install a new air cleaner element, and replace the dust and pollen filter
4. Replace the transmission fluid if required
5. Replace timing belt and spark plug if need be
6. Change the engine coolant
7. Also, replace the back differential fluid
Note: if the problem gets resolved at step 1, you don't need to move forward with the rest of the steps.

Did they change your tire pressure. tire pressure affects the mileage dramatically and when ever I have someone change the oil I tell them not to change my tire pressure.

The A service and B service is an oil change and a long list of inspections. Unless the service is covered under warranty, or this is a new car and you want some piece of mind, I suggest only getting the oil change. There is not much maintinace on these, the trany oil doesnt and should not be touched maybe at 100,000 miles, at 60,000, rotate tires, change oil, check and replace air filter if needed, change cabin filter, and the rest is checking fluids, brakes etc, theres not much the most necessary thing is the oil change and rotate tires, i know the dealer charges alot for nothing, youcan look in the manually in the rear it shows you the services, or just google the year make and model and maintinance required. and it will also show you, good luck hope this is helpful.

you are going through a lot of expense,oil and filters for sure, tires maybe depends on their condition, when you fill the tand add a bottle of injector cleaner, as for the rest a good inspections should be all needed, hoses and belts not cracked or soft leave them inspepct the brakes if the lining is good leave it they are usually good for 60,000 miles, i foresee no problem for you at this time, have fun

Service Ride Control means one or some of your shocks or struts are worn and may need replacing. The price for new ones is not cheap,

the oil chang light is because it was not reset properly at your last oul change, the tire light could be one of the sensiors located in the valve stm's on the rim's

There are 4 key ignition settings: Off, Acc, On, Start Turn key to the On position, quickly press the gas pedal 3 times, then turn key clockwise to Start position and actually start the car. You'll hear it chime at you and the change oil indicator light will flash and disappear.

The tire light....Have you checked all your tires for prper air pressure? including the spare? If they all have the maunfactures recomended PSI. Remove the negitive post from the battery for 20 min. to rest puter. If that dont work you have a faulty TPMS on a tire need a new one. Hope this helps

A complete check-up of the car which should include but not be limited to:

1. Change the oil (when was the last time you changed it?) Change the oil filter & the air filter (again, when were they changed last?)
2. Check the coolant and brake fluid
3. Check the brake pads - inspect all lights including turning signals (for safetys sake)
4. Check the air pressure in the tires (including your spare tire) Check your car's alignment, this can cause uneven wear on your tires and it will believe it or not contribute to making the trip more exhausting.

Make sure you get a good rest the night/day before you depart. - if you begin to doze off dont hesitate to stop at a rest stop. Dont fight against your body, if you are tired, stop and take a 30 minute power nap, wash your face and drink a cup of coffee before you get back on the road.
Make sure you have a bottle of water in the car and plenty of good music to listen to. - Speed wise I suggest you dont travel at more than 10mph over the speed limit, traveling a little over (up to 10 mph) is tolerated by police, but I strongly sugest going 5 mph over the limit, set the cruise control and enjoy the trip without worrying about potential fines. If you do the math, the difference in time traveled is not so great:
speed limit = 70 mph (just as an example) 1300 miles @ 70 mph = 18 hours 36 minutes 1300 miles @ 75 mph = 17 hours and 20 minutes 1300 miles @ 80 mph = 16 hours 15 minutes the difference between traveling 75 or 80 is only 1 hours and 5 minutes. Not worth risking a fine for
