Fords run two (2) relays for the fuel system one runs the fuel pump and the other runs the injectors so buy one relay and just switch one at a time you will be up and running in no time.Hope this helps you.

SOURCE: no fuel getting to fuel rail.

fuel pressure regulator is what is in between the pump and the rails. it sounds like your regulator is restricting fuel flow

SOURCE: 1995 jetta 2.0 fuel pump

ok could be a few things.

Have you changed the inline fuel filter? these usually have paper filter elements and after a while can be clogged with moisture which blocks fuel flow. The fuel pump will still have good pressure but the fuel rail will lack the flow required and you may burn out an injector as its running too lean. Secondly, the MAF sensor, could be dirty, clean it with electrical cleaner.

I think its more likeylt the fuel filter blocked. Try and bypass it if possible, reset the ECU and try agiain

How do I stop my efi fuse from blowing repeatedly. Just changed the fuel pump and now that fuse keeps blowing.

What about your fuel rail regulator, which is in the tank with the fuel pump on some cars? Does it have a pressure switch/sensor that isn't telling the engine control module to shut the pump off when the rail pressure is obtained? If you turn the vehicle to on (not start) and the pump runs more than a couple seconds, like until the fuse blows, it could be either a stuck pump relay or worse, the fuel pump control signal. Pull the pump relay, add a new fuse and see if the pump runs with the key in the on position again, which it shouldn't. If it doesn't run, the issue is either the relay, or the control signal to the relay that is keeping the pump on all the time, causing the fuse to blow.

It sounds to me like the pressure is going to high and stalling or slowing the pump causing excessive current from the motor and blowing the fuse. If that's the case your old pump might not have been the problem. How's the fuel filter? That's in line with the fuel line to the fuel rail?

You don't have to answer the questions, just look into them for your own peace of mind.

Turn key on fuel pump don't turn on

If it's a fuel injected motor them you need the fuel pump to fill the fuel rail to run, you will need to replace the fuel pump.

On the fuel rail will be a small round valve type thing with a rubber vacumn tube running to it ,check the tube and make sure its connected as this will stop it from running as it opens the fuel rail for the injectors

Fuel Pump relays are designed to run only momentarily until engine is running.Even if fuel pump runs it probably won't maintain enough pressure if you had no fuel pressure at the fuel rail.Sounds like a new pump is the ticket.

What you need to do is turn the key on and let the fuel pump run. Turn the key off and repeat about 20 times or so. Eventually it will start it just takes some time to get it primed. You can also do that and on the fuel rail there is a re-leaf valve. Crack that open to get the air out until you get a steady fuel stream.

How do i know if the fuel pump is not working

Do not attempt this unless you know your way around under the hood.
Use protective gear: safety glasses and protective gloves.
Somewhere on or near the fuel rail on your engine will be a plastic cap that is the same as a tire valve cap. Remove it. Underneath will be a pressure release valve, also much like your tire valve.
Cycle your key to the on position (not the start position) for 2-5 seconds. Turn key back to off position. Immediately go to the valve on the fuel rail and push the needle down. If the fuel pump is working, you shouls have fuel spray out of the valve quite quickly. The pressure in the fuel rail is about 40-50psi if the pump is working.
Hope this helps!
