My 306 estate is turning over but will not start. How do I disconnect the immobiliser? It isn't the one with a keypad to start

The security system can't be bypassed in this car. You will need to get the system scanned to see what the fault issue is.

I have a 2003 Ford Super Crew with the keypad entry on the door and only one key. I purchased used and don't know how to reset the keypad entry. Can you help?

The keypad code you are using, might be the factory code, and you would have to set a personal code. Directions for this are in the owners manual on page 85.
If you do not have a manual, a PDF version can be downloaded from Ford :

If you do not know for sure if you have the factory code ( via the card in teh owners manual ), you can read the factory code from the tag on the CSM ( Central Security Module ).
The CSM is a white / off white colored "box" ( ~ 4"x3"x1" ) located up behind the dash.

Laying on the driver's side floor, so you can look up behind the dash, you should see a white box with a sticker on it that has 5 digits on it. This is the factory code to be used with the directions to set a personal code via the directions in the owners manual.
In the picture, you will see the white box up in the left hand corner of the picture, this is the CSM with the sticker on it. The left hand side shows the parking brake ratchet, as a reference point. Bit of flexing around, but once you get on the floor with your head under the dash ( and a flash light ) it will be easy to see.9742ddf.jpg

My petrol Peugeot 405 (1995) seems to be immobilised altho when I enter the code on the keypad the light goes green , turn the ignition it makes the immobilised noise and of course wont start. The battery...

Have you tried turning the alarm back on so that it goes off again, lock and unlock the car with your fob now, then enter the code. This is because it might still be in the standard immobiliser mode.

I cant find my keypad code for my 2003 lincoln towncar..thx i bought the car from a private party and the owner died the owner's wife never knew about the code. i went to the dealer, they want sixty bucks...

According to the owners manual the code is located on the wallet card that came with the owners manual and also on the module itself. The module is located behind the drivers door panel so it would have to be removed to access it..

Cannot start my vehicle

I suggest you consult the 'garagemechanic' who 'fixed' it for you

Most owners will not pay the 'garagemechanic' until they get the car working again .. a lesson for next time perhaps ??
