I dont have a direct answer for that problem but what i would do is get a wiring diagram and look at everything thats hooked up to the main realy you could use a jumper fused wire until you find the circuit that is shorted that cuaseing it to short the relayjust use a ten amp fuse to power up differnt wires until the fuse pops and that will tell you what circut is the problem it may not be in the harness may just be a componet that getting power from the relay

92 Paseo starts fine each morning and afternoon. I drive it about 100 miles per day. If I drive it for 45 minutes, kill the engine, and try to restart it only produces a 'relay' click. The battery...

If you only get 1 click per key turn, sounds like the copper contact plate in the starter solenoid is worn. If you keep trying to start it and it eventually turns over click after click, then it more than likely time for a starter, or a starter rebuild if you're handy. The kits are available online for under $40

Not the throttle sensor (tps) remove the Idle air control (iac), High RPM's are caused from vaccumn leaks, you have a computor, put Autozone in the search, enter info on the car and search for the part, you will now know what it looks like, IAC and TPS are located at the throttle body, remove and clean with throttle body cleaner purchased at your local auto parts store

You should replace the fuel filter and check for vaccum leaks. Also you should check the compression of your vehicle this might solve your problem.

1993 Toyota Paseo - Engine dies when clutch depressed

Absolutly, Your idle control valve at the end of your fuel rail has a vacuum line and its sensitive to pressure changes. One way to double check that would be to hook everything up normally and pull that vacuum line off your idle control valve. Are the symptoms the same?
