I have a 2002 Honda Accord SE, and the alarm will randomly go off! Is there a quick easy way to just disarm the alarm?

Put the contact - don't start the engine. Turn the key back down one click. On the remote control for the alarm press the following keys in this order: lock, unlock, lock. Wait for the lights and/or the alarm beep sound. You should see that the alarm light on the inside or your car is either off or at a still red light, not blinking like usual, the car alarm should be disabled

I tried that....but the horn didn't beep or lights flash...I waited and waited and pulled the key out and the light started blinking! I tried it several times to make sure I had done it right...No luck!

The key should be first in the II position (contact without the engine), try with that.

If this doesn't work you could try this (it work on older models - make sure you have the code to the radio before trying it):  disconnect, wait 30 seconds and reconnect the battery; close all the doors of your car and lock it with the key; turn the key to unlock and keep it like that for 5 seconds. That should shut off the alarm.
In desperation look for a black box under the dash next to the steering column labelled Honda Security System, if you don't see a switch you can pull out the connector that is plugged into it. Ideally you should find a wire coming from a connector labelled Disarm no unlock and connect it to the ground.
    I hope it helps..

My 97 Honda accord se wont turn over, and car alarm keeps going off

the alarm is the fault refer to your alarm manual to disable it, if you don't know about this unit it is best to seek help from someone qualified and available to look at it for you, it seems as if your alarm is set, most alarms have a starter disable function and the alarm going off is an indication that it is set.

2002 accord speacial edition alarm goes off randomly while parked

More than likely, the sonic sensor has too much sensitivity, and some low level vibrations, such as exhaust noise from nearby cars/ trucks, thunder OR animals going under the car, might set it off. If you have the PRESTIGE alarm, the alarm box on the left kicker panel, has an adjusting screw for the sensitivity. If other brand, it probably has a way to adjust it as well. If it was a problem with doors/ trunk sensor, it would set off as soon as the alarm is armed, so i dont think this is your case.

"Factory Alarm keeps going off" No matter how many

There is a good probability that you have the PRESTIGE alarm. There is a hidden microswitch somewhere around the left kicker panel. It is also called the "valet" switch. It will disarm the alarm, but still allow the remote to unlock the doors.

I believe that the alarm system in the car is draining the battery also causing the car not to start.....I want to disconnect the alarm system or disarm it but cannot locate the valet friend...

This sounds like a factory alarm, so it is unlikely that it is draining the battery. Much more common is alternator diodes. diagnosis is pretty easy for a shop, consider using one for this issue.

98 honda accord car alarm will not let car start.

Try chaning the main relay. It is $60 at the dealer, cheaper on e-bay. There is also a way to repair the sodlering connection on it if you want to try and save some money. Check youtube for a video on how to rapir main relay on Honda's. Any questions, e-mail me at

Where is the valet switch for honda accord 2002 lx?

Does the vehicle have an aftermarket alarm system? Is the valet switch for this what you are looking for? If so, it depends entirely on who installed it as where they have put it, although it's usually under the dash on the driver’s side. Some alarms have different sequences that you have to go through to put the alarm into valet mode; it's not usually just a switch that you flick. Best to pop into an alarm or stereo installer and see if they can spot it for you, or if the car is immobilized, find out what sort of alarm it is and call an installer for the info on the valet procedure.
