MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SPARK PLUGS IN CAR.MERCEDES BENZ HAS CLASS - C - CL- CLK - E - S - SL- SLK - ALL USES DIFFERENT SPARK PLUGS LIKE NGK IFRGD10 - BOSCH F6MPP332 - BOSCH F8DPP332 - BOSCH F8DPER -BOSCH PLATINUM Y7MPP33.SEE YOU HAVE DIFFERENT SPARK PLUGS.MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE RIGHT ONES.IF YOU DONT ENGINE WILL MISFIRE.NOW THE COMPUTER CONTROL PLUGS FIRING.IT COULD BE BAD BUT I WOULD HAVE INJECTORS CLEAN FIRST THEY WILL CAUSE MISFIRE IF CLOGGED UP WITH CARBON DEPOSITS.

If the spark plugs has been changed by the same dealer , they should replace it for free now.
If spark plugs were changed by indepedent shop , dealer will charge for it.
I know it's not cheap on S-class.
Also the cause of misfire might be vacuum leak , ignition coils , bad air flow sensor , low fuel pressure etc..... , so it really need a good diagnostics before replacing parts.
Spark plugs itself in a very tight location , they might be damaged while installing.
In your case , I would really pay attention to vacuum leaks and fuel mixture , sience misfire is random.

You may want to try haveing the fuel injectors cleaned they can also cause miss fires also try flushing the fuel rail to flush the rail just hook up fuel gauge and turn the key on and remove the gauge from the hose and let it run into a container also look at fuel and see if the quality is good should be strong smelling one cup should smell up a small garage if it doesnt try a different brand of gas

It's unikely to be the cranshaft, as that problem would not go away. It could be your ignition wires -- replacing those is not that expensive, and may cure the misfire problem. My Buick had this problem and replaicng the plugs and ignition wires frixed it. But have you had a service place read the error messages and diagnose it?

1996 jeep grand Cherokee will turn over but not start. weak spark. fuel at fuel rail. replaced PCM 1 month ago. replaced crank shaft sensor 3 months ago....

See if your getting spark at the ign. coil first (passengers side on that year) if you are change the crank shaft sensor making sure you mount it as close to the engine as possible so it never gives you trouble again.

1998 gmc jimmy, about a month ago,I changed plugs wires cap and rotor and now it is runnniun ruff, mising out on acceleration shakes @ 2000 rpm.ran good for a month.

If a random multiple misfire code appears , and electrical system checks out Ok, need to do a fuel pressure test at the fuel rail (Drivers side) if checks out ok, it very well can be sticky fuel injectors. If injectors leak by can cause to much fuel dispursed into engine, sometimes a bottle of lucas fuel injector cleaner will do the trick, opens up the poppets (injectors) although the (Spider Injector) has an electrical pulse that is supplied from the ECM (computer.) The spider injectors definitely go bad some sooner than others! Not a pleasant job also an expensive job if u are not doing it yourself! If your vehicle was fine before this started happening go back over everthing u have done, check each wire out with a noid to see if spark is correct ( A noid plugs into end of the wire that goes onto the sparkplug, check each wire one at a time, u can purchase a noid for this vehicle at your local autoparts store) Not saying this is definitely the problem, there are many things that cause these problems, crank sensor, cam sensor, tps mass air flow map sensor intake leaks and vacuum leaks etc etc,u can check for leaks by spraying down intake and vacuum lines with a can of carb cleaner, look for a change in the idle when u are spraying it down How do we know? been thru it all to often! GOOD LUCK! 1998 GMC Jimmy 4.3 Liter Vortec V- 6.

I have an on going intermittent starting problem . sometimes car starts great and runs great . but sometimes engine just cranks and does not start. it may start in an hour or a day later , but sometimes it...

I had a problem like yours on my 96 towncar and after literally months of replacing the wrong parts.
I bought a crank shaft sensor and crawled under the car to try and install it. Looking at how oily it appeared I unplugged the wires from it and cleaned both the wire plug and the sensor with some electrical contact cleaner available at most auto parts stores , and that was over a year ago and the problem has not returned since then. The sensor is located on the passenger side just behind the harmonic balancer under the front end of the motor. If yours is oily it would be worth a try.
Hope this helps.

Truck not firing properly front coil pack not firing at all.

if this truck has an o2 sensor i would replace that and also make sure the cat-converter is not plugged, this would give you your powerloss and egr code, next is your coil, this may be caused by the computer or your crank sensor, look at the tone ring that the crank sensor uses and make sure its not missing teeth or broken, also check all your fuses.

I know I need a head gasket replace but why wont it stat

No spark is caused first by crank sensor. this sends a signal to the module and coil packs to plug wires. Sensor may be fualty. It will cause car to act the way yours did.
