What will cause a Clacking/Clicking noise coming

Just purchased a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 98,300 miles on it. THe radiator was replaced by now one week later there was a clacking noise. What will cause a Clacking/Clicking noise coming near engine of 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo upon starting car? Sounds like it is coming near exhaust manifold.

Noise coming from radiator cooling fan in 2000 jeep grand cherokee 4.0

Typically you need to replace the fan clutch. (This is presuming that you are not overheating and not near too hot. Under hot condition, your issue is normal.) The clutch can fail in the locked position.

Did you bleed all air from the system? Is it actually overheating or is the light just coming on? If so, replace the temperature sending unit. If you are loosing coolant with no apparent leak then suspect a blown head gasket which will cause the engine to overheat. A compression test will verify this.

My 1999 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 liter with 81,000 miles is clunking into reverse? is anything wrong? should i be worried

clunking is not a good sound on ANY vehicle. neither is clicking, clacking etc...! I see where there are two possibilities here, and both require that you get under the truck and look around a bit. BUT both are easy and inexpensive...that would be to look at the transmission mounts and make sure they are not worn too bad...and the other is your everyday u-joint may be bad. if you find a bad u-joint,and can spring an extra 15 bucks, replace them all, cause as sure as 1 fails, the other will soon.

I have replaced the radiator on my 2000 Grand Cherokee and now the on board computer reads" open circuit"in the place where the temperature should be displayed. please assist.

Either your temperature sensor is unplugged or it has failed and is giving you that reading. (most likely cause...if not, start checking wiring from the sender and make sure any electric cooling fans are plugged in as well.

The 4 wheel drive on my 2000 jeep grand cherokee

The ticking noise is most likely your tranfer case chain. the chains in this case...overtime....will stretch, causing the chain to have enough slack the hit the bottom of the case.

Cooling fan not kicking on causing the jeep to over heat. Replaced the termstat and temp sensor, on a 00 jeep grand cherokee.

Check the fan operation by disconnecting the fan wiring. Using the battery use a set of jumper wires to see if the fan runs directly off the battery.
