Question about 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I lost my remote control starter for my jeep over 2 months ago. I have no idea where it is. Today, all of the sudden my jeep started up in the drive-way. What could have made this happen?

Is this a gasoline powered motorcycle/scooter? If so and if you got off in dirt, the carburator may have dirt in it. Drain the gasoline, clean the jets in the carburator and try again. If its electric, sorry, can't help!

2007 Jeep Cherokee Transmission over temp displaying and will not start after sitting for several hours it will start? Any Ideas

I had same prob - no rhyme nor reason as to when, where or why it wouldn't start. After two new starters the shop finally found a starter wire/cable that was corroded on the inside. Mech' could move it back and forth and it would / would not start. Changed cable six months ago - no problems since. Hope it helps.

Jeep won't start. turn the ignition key and hear clicking sound in engine compartment. I had a remote car starter installed 2 years ago and can start the car that way. when i started the car with the...

clicking when you turn the ignition on most vehicles could be one of two things. First the selenoid for the starter. Second the batterry is worn out or drained. Since your jeep starts with the remote its not your battery. Lucky for you your remote starter is like having a second selenoid. If you are so inclined you might try to fix it yourself. Open the hood. Have someone else turn the key. Follow the sound. I don't have a jeep of that model to look at but It could possibly be comming from a two post terminal that is realatively easy to change. If you are worried about reassembly take pictures before you start. Clean all connections that look corroded.

Had problem starting, engine stopped while driving

Have you ever cleaned the throttle valve and idle speed control valve? this is on the stall issue. the starter sounds like the contacts may be burnt in the starter solenoid, this is common on this type of Japanese starter at about this mileage, you can rebuild the starter solenoid or just replace it.
