If you have a battery charger... the quickest way to isolate what circuit the problem lies in is to connect a battery charger with the battery at least close to full charge and then start removing and installing fuses one at a time while watching for the amp gage to drop when you remove a fuse. Once you determine which circuit the ground is located in you can at least troubleshoot one circuit vs several. It could be an any circuit.

Contact your local dealer. We at FixYa can not pass unlock codes to you for reasons of anti-theft. You will need your Vin Number. Tell them you had a battery problem and that now you can not even get the display to stop saying off so that you can enter the code. They usually will walk you through the fix over the phone if you passed all the correct vehicle information.

    Thanks for using FixYa.

If you are not leaving lights on that means you have a battery draw.
You will need a test light to find a source.
Disconnect negative battery cable , connect one end of test light to cable and the other one to neg. battery post. If test light lights up - there is a draw.
Wait about one minute (for components to go on slip mode) and start pulling fuses out (just remember the place they come from) , the one that shut off test light is you problem , check everything on the curcuit for that fuse. Usually it states on a fuse box lid.

Just to make sure I understand this right, If there is not a short the light should not come on at all.

New battery keeps going dead when car shut off overnight

Sounds like a slow drain - like a dome light or short in the wiring.
If the battery stays charged when it is disconnected, you'll have to check for a power drain in the car.

I have a slow drain on my car battery. I puller

Use a 12volt test light between the positive battery post and the positive cable with the positive cable disconnected from the battery.
Keep key off.
You will see the test light "light" with any drain.

Any drain showing a dim test light is..... OK
Any drain showing a bright light is.....BAD

Disconnect items (fuses) one at a time and watch the light.
Keep the doors closed....the inside dome light is a drain with the door open!
After fuses are checked....disconnect the alt if needed and watch the light.
Keep going until you get rid of the bright light.

Battery keeps draining new battery and alternaltor

Sounds like an alternator. When it goes bad, your car is forced to run off of the battery , which wont last long depending on what all you have running .
The alternator keeps your battery charged after your car starts.
Try replacing the alternator and let me know if you have any more problems.
