2000 town & country - oil light flashed on and off when i was in reverse but went out when i went forward.

First off check the oil,if it's fairly low on oil then when the oil splashes away from the pickup tube the oil pressure would drop enough to kick on the oil light,if it's full and running ok then the oil sending unit is probably gonna need replaced.

youre probably low on oil and the censor is telling you when you hit the break becasue the oil moves forward. check your oil level on flat ground and see if you need to add some

You may have a faulty oil pressure sender . its not an expensive part , and easy to install.

Check the oil level. The low oil sensor will disable the ignition if more than a quart low. If you have not checked your oil in the last 1600 miles, its past time to do so. Check oil often.

What type of transmission fluid for town & country ?


Transmission fluid type ATF+4.

The filter is located on the bottom of the transmission, inside the oil pan.
