Loss Of Power When Gas Is Pressed Down

Hi i have a Audi TT 8N (1999) lately i have problems with power, when i put my foot down on the gas, it reaches to a certain speed at lower rate than it should. On my TT i can get a maximum speed of 240km/h but after this problem i can barly reach 200 and even if i do it takes a little while to get there. Can anyone help me on this? i have read things on the internet like it can be MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor) but i went and bought a new one, still the same problem there is no power when i put my foot down on the gas.
thanks in advance

Have scan done for fault codes, check turbo pipes for security/leaks or damage, check turbo for wear (remove pipe and check for play at impeller) check intercooler for leaks/damage or internal oil contamination, without me driving/inspecting the vehicle it is more difficult to give proper diagnosis but these things can cause your problem and I would check them first

What causes Soltice to rev up and down shift when climbing hill but loose speed

That is the way gears in cars work. When you go up hill, the car needs more gas, so you put your foot down, kick down comes into play and the gearbox chooses one gear lower, for more engine revs and lower speed you get more torque to climb the hill.

Get the car tuned up, you might have failing sensors or ignition problems causing a general loss of power that is needing kick down on hills.

THE BUTTON IN THE CONSOLE TO OPEN THE GAS CAP AND THE TRUNK WONT WORK AND I CANT PUT GAS INTO THE CAR!!!! IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO OPEN THE GAS COVER AND THE TRUNK???

I can't promise it, but in my 99 A4 there is a release cable in the trunk. I have to pull the trunk carpeting away on the side where the gas filler door is, and there's a red cable there that can be used as a manual release. I imagine your TT has one as well - look in the hatch on the side with the gas door, and pull the lining back - you'll probably have a release cable as well.

Lights left on, battery totally flat, will not

You've probably flooded it then - TOO much gas in the engine.
Try this charge the battery or use a GOOD one, and beofre yout turn the key push the gas pedal all the way to the floor and hold it there. Then try and start without lifting your foot. Crank for 20-30 seconds at most.
Do that about 2-3 times, then try to start normally.
Holding your foot stops more gas from entering the engine and allows the gas in there to be cleared out.
Flooding is way easy and then can make starting very hard. You have to be aware of this when trying to jump start a dead battery.

Hello, I have an Audi TT quattro coupe 2003, and my check engine is on because i have a gas tank ventilation leak. Can you please tell me where it could be located and how to fix it. Thank you

In most cases, that just means you gas cap is loose, screwed wrong, or defective. First off, try to unscrew it completely and screw it back on carefully, but make sure it makes a few clicks once it reaches the end of the thread, or else it might not be on tight enough to seal the ventilation system for the computer's self checks. If you did all that and it still gives you the same problem, then change the cap completly with a new one. You can buy one directly from Audi, or you can buy a jobber model from a parts store, or you can always scrounge around the scrap yards and try to find one too, but be aware that not all gas caps are the same, so you really need the specific one for your audi if you don't want more problems. If a new gas cap does not solve the problem, then you will need to raise the car and take the fuel tank down to inspect each and every fuel hose for cracks or leaks.

Fuel cap and boot release buttons not working

Hello,
I have a 2001 Audi TT Audi TT roadster, 87,000 miles. I love the car, but like all cars, things happen.

Open your checkbook, It is the command module , under your back glass, where the top goes , you will see a small door cut into the felt. Mine got wet and started a whole chain of events.

Seal that Window Good. 800$ repair to replace the comman module.

1. Windows were going up and down 1/4" all random times.
2. The Gas Release and Trunk Release buttons stop working
3. Alarm would go off at odd times.
4. Trunk would not open automatically.

To open the Trunk, behind the passenger seat is a small box, open it with you key and you will see the manual trunk release

To open your gas cap, on the passenger side of the trunk, you will see a small felt opening under the gas cap. Open it and pull back decently hard and the gas cap will open.

Good Luck.
