Question about 2001 Mazda MPV

The car I want to buy has a low mileage

Do you think the seller might have changed the mileage ? Is it possible, on this type of car, to change the mileage. Let's say, from 100.000 miles to 75.000 miles ?

Have 2008 kia rondo misfire on cylinder 2 also throwing code for map drives and runs not getting best gas mileage and idles/runs rough where should I start thanks for your time

Misfire is caused by spark plugs, coil packs (if you have them), possibly wiring issues.
Don't you have long, long warranty on that car?

Oil type for my 2002 firebird

You can use 5w30 - 5w20 - or 10w30 depending on the air temp and your mileage.
Low mileage engines can use the lower weight. Hot weather or high mileage engines can use the higher weight.

How to change the mileage?

I am sorry, but in most states (and I think federal) changing the mileage meter is considered fraud!

I am thinking of buying a 1995 Cadillac Seville-What octane must be used in it and what mileage should I expect to get?

this car will run on regular pump gas fine.the mileage i would think about 17-20 maybe, but it really depends on how it is truly driven and if it is driven below the 60mph(if possible) you will get better mileage as anything above it,the mileage drops alot.

I have a very low mileage 04 Jaguar x type 4 dr sedan. Where I have the oil changes done, they insist that I do it every 3,000 miles or each 3 months, whichever comes first. The last time I had it changed...

They are doing you justice if you want to keep your Jag in tip top shape. Sitting alot allows condensation to form on cylinder walls and in oil. They could spread the time out to closer to 6 mos or 3k miles whichever comes first. But you have a good shop looking out for your best interest. Need more like them.

Oil in the tailpipe ,burns thrue oil very fast. how much would it cost to repaire the oil valve.

oil valve?? i dont think so thats like saying the foo foo valve what you need is a new engine because yours is high mileage by the sound of it .Yes yours can be overhauled but its cheaper to buy one from an accident damaged vehicle with a low mileage and change it

When should cam belt be changed on 1999 vauxhall astra 1.6 16v car. I am looking to buy car with 61000 mileage and 7 stamps by vauxhall dealer. Seller doesn't know if belt has been done. Thanks

For 1999 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 16V timing belt replacement interval is: 60000 km (37500 miles), or 48 months (4 years). Replace also tensioner roller, (the same interval) !
If you don't know precisely if timing belt has been done, then replace it obligatory !!!

Please rate my response. Thanks!

2000 Prizm

Is there a few possibilities for a Low mileage per gallon on any car.
But I will mention the more Importants.

The Spark plugs.
Depend on the Mileage on your car, Normally For a Prizm.
The spark plug should be changed every 30,000 Miles.
With Factory Dippon Denso ( ND) or NGK. Both are factory replacement.

Check for any Vaccum leak on the Intake Manifold and The Big Rubber hose from the Throttle Body
To the Air filter.. Or any restriction on the Big rubber hose.

Is very Important to Have changed the Oil every 3,000 miles.
Incredible But Old oil made any car to have low mileage per gallon.

Check the condition of the Transmission Fluid .
Is nessesary to change the first time at 60,000, and after Every 20,000 or 30,000 miles.
To old or burn Transmission fluid made the car run on more RPM to get power.
Compare with new oil ,

Ok. is there a few more things but check this first and let me know.

I hope this help on your question.
Thank you for use fixya.
