Not enough info to help, but you need spark, fuel and air to make it run,so give it a small shot of staring fluid and if it starts then you have a fuel issue i.e fuel pump, fuse, relay, ecm
then check for spark,if no spark (depends on what year engine) check for check engine light, and suspect all ign parts again depends on what year, cap, wires, rotor, coil on older 4.0l and crank sensor, cam sensor or ecm on newer engines.

I have a Daewoo tacuma 2.0 CDX. Replaced engine car wouldn't start. Were do I begin?

HEILA by not starting don you mean the starter wont turn the engine over or do you mean the car wont idle? start by checking if the wire to the starter is mounted on the starter that is the big red wire from the battery and next your thin wire to the solenoid if its plugged onto the starter solenoid . check again if your earth wire is it mounted onto the engine block . lastly try to turn the engine to see if it rotates in case you have installed a siezed engine not unless you have done the turning with the spanner on the crankshaft bolt to see if the engine rotates before cranking it.

My '95 volvo 960 got hot, and battery died. Tried to jump start in and it would crank but not start.

Dead Battery

Always try & charge,it is unsafe to jump
a dead battery, as it may have shorted cells

If the engine rotates, turns over, cranks,it is the same thing

To say it won't crank or won't turn over is wrong
That is a no start

1---Engine does turn over,rotates,or cranks

2----Engine is a no start or won't start or won't fire, no iginition

The engine rotates but will not start

You may have gotten a defective replacement fuel pump. I would check the ground for the fuel pump, but it seems there's not much left to check.

The engine rotates but never start

JUST A SUGGESTION. I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH INFORMATION TO GIVE A GOOD DIAGNOSIS. BUT, I AM GUESSING YOU HAVE MANY MILES ON THIS VEHICLE SINCE IT IS A 1996. IF YOUR TIMING BELT HAS BROKEN, OR HAS SLIPPED THAT WILL BE THE SOURCE OF YOUR PROBLEM. START THERE. THEN MOVE TO FUEL DELIVERY AND ELECTRICAL.
