When does my fan Turn on when I am driving?

Usually a car fan will turn on when the engine temperature gets to a specific value. Frequently this will happen when driving in slow traffic; driving fast, there is enough draught to cool the radiator.

Fans not working ,or dont go fast enough on to keep radiator cool

check fuses, check fan relays , per fsm
Fsm = factory service manual.
there are 3 cooling fan relays Hi/low and control
the ECU outputs only high and low.
the ECU is hard coded, (softrware) to run fans. and uses
the ECT as the input sensor.
so if the low is dead the relay is dead.
if the the high is dead , high relay is bad.
if the relays look the same, why not swap them to see if the
2 fans switch fail mode.

2004 jeep grand cherokee engine cooling fan runs slow

Could be either one, but usually its the fan motor.
You can run a wire direct from the battery to bypass the relay to see how fast the fan is able to run. The connector on the fan relay can become damaged too.

My fan turns very slow and jeep sometimes over heats it is a2008 rubicon jk it also has a battery light on as well as the airbag light why?

Check the tension of your belts. They, or it may be loose enough to not make good contact with the pulleys, which will keep your fan from turning at the proper speed, but will also fail to turn the alternator fast enough to keep the battery charged.

My 2003 mazda mpv runs hot when the ac is on

Should be 2 radiator fans that come on when AC is turned on,check coolant fan switch or relay, check fans themselves to see if come on and turning fast enough to cool radiator fins. Is it sitting still or when driving running hot? get back with me.

2001 mazda running hot, changed water pump, themerstat and themerstat case, still runs hot. Once the fans come on to coll the motor, it is so loud, could the fans motor be the problem?

Yes it could. Not turning fast enough will create an overheating problem. Also let it go long enough it could break and take out the radiator.

My mercury mystique is over heating when driving slow and stopping or yeilding but now when going long distance and fast speed

The fan clutch is not engaging and turning fast enough. I would have it check by a mechanic for the fan clutch, thermostat, and coolant flow from the water pump

2005 Chevrolet Impala, Fans not turning fast enough to cool the vehicle.

you need to replace the the fan motor if eletrical. if electrical it could be a sending unit or switch.

If its a mechanical fan one that runs off the engine it needs to replaced.

the conclusive evidence for fan clutch is this:
if the engine temperature begins to drop while the car is moving, you've got a bad fan clutch. Is the radiator clogged with deposits?
