If the window lock-out swich located on the drivers side door master switch is in the off or un-lock position, then the problem will be a broken wire or wires in the weather boot that runs between the door and the body of the vehicle. Any broken wires that you find should be repaired by soldering them well, use the same gage wire to lengthen any broken wires in order to successfully solder them, and do not use wire connectors if you want the connection to last.

That is actually a common problem in this generation of Ram's. Most of the time the problem resides inside the switch on the drivers side. The problem is a "cold" solder joint on the window lockout button directly on the board itself. If you are not capable of taking the switch apart and re soldering the connections...simply replace the drivers side cluster. If you are....it takes about 30 min. to remove the switches, take the knobs off , take the cluster apart, solder the lockout tabs, and reassemble.

I had the same problem. Going on Zaraki's hint, I traced it to a loose connector wire in the clip that holds them together where they plug into the into the switch box. I tightened up the connection and fixed the wires so they don't move as much.

2004 dodge ram 4-door driver door window goes down with the master switch but won't go up All other windows work fine from the master switch,

Check your wiring. I know that these trucks have that problem mainly with the passenger side but I'm sure it could happen to the driver side as well. See what happens is they run the wiring through the door near the hinges and when you open/shut your door it wears the wiring causing it to short. My passenger side doesn't work with the passenger controls but will work on the master controls. I will be fixing mine here shortly.

Bad switch on master control, does the switch feel soft of catchy, sometime the little saddle connections in the switch come out of place and can be replaced. Sounds like a new driver side control.

2004 Toyota tundra passenger power window switch not operational

Try a passenger side door switch or a new complete master switch on drivers door. Alaways check fuses also.

I have a 2004 dodge ram 2500, the passenger window switches don't work

Not uncommon, the master window switch on the driver's door goes wonky. Mine had same problem (2003 1500 4.7L long cab) and simply replacing the master switch fixed both bad passenger switch intermittent problems. Easy swap, cheap at the dealer.

Passenger window won't work its elelectric, acts like no power to it. Is there a fuse I have no book and can only find the master fuse box under hood?

Hi their is only one fuse for the windows and thats the one you have checked, if the other windows are working then the fuse will be ok.

if the drivers door has a seperate control for the passenger door try this and if it wont work from either the passenger side or the drivers side then the problem is going to be either the motor or the regulater and these are both inside the passenger door.

if how ever the drivers and passenger controls are seperate and you cant control the passenger side for the drivers door controls then what you can try is swapping the switches over from the drivers door to the passengers door, if the controls are the same then all you need to do is get a flat bladed screwdriver and pry the control up as its only pushed into place then unclip the wires and swap the switches over then if the passenger side then works you know you need to get a new switch of it still dont work then it will be either the motor or regulater at fault.

either way the door panel will need removing and you will need to test if you have any power going to the motor.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Master window switch works but individual windows won't work from the door panels, I have tried to master switches still nothing. For some reason the little green indicator light on the window switches on...

Is there a window lock feature on the master switch? If there is it could be a bad wire from that to the other switches. That switch has to power all the other switches. I would check out that wire first.

Power windows will not roll down or up

If your other switches don't work, and the master is not locked, you need a new master as it is keeping the others from working.

Passenger window only works from drivers switch

If you have already replaced the passenger side switch and it still doesnt work its a good chance that there is a pinched wire in the door itself. However usually it wont work from the drivers side either. But I still suggest looking there first.
