The thermostat is located in the thermostat housing on top of the intake manifold between the A/C compressor and alternator, just follow the upper radiator hose to the intake manifold. Simple job to do and takes less then 20 min to replace and about 40 min including flushing out the cooling system to replacing the coolant.
Thank you for suing fixya and be safe. Here is a link to where your thermostat is located.

Where is thermostat on 04 trailblazer 4.2 inline 6cyl?

It is under the neck where the top radiator hose is connected to the engine. 2 bolts in the neck should be removed to access the thermostat. Note the direction of thermostat before removing it from its location.

Where is thermostat on 04 trailblazer 4.2 inline 6cyl

The top picture is thermostat housing. It appears to be toward front of engine, lower, driver side. Usually, one of the radiator hoses goes to thermostat housing.

ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor is located next to the thermostat behind the alternator. Assuming you have the Inline 6 cylinder.

Where is the thermostat located on a 2003 Oldmobile Bravada SUV? How much should it cost to replace the thermostat? I live in Pensacola Florida.

inline 6?
Its located on the driver side of the engine under/behind the alternator. To put it bluntly they **** to replace. It wouldn't be unreasonable to see a bill for $250 to $500 depending on the part of the world you live in.

ATS(Air temp sensor) CTS( Coolant temp sensor)

I have a 351 but they are common sensors and should be located same places. ATC is on the side or bottom of the air intake filter box. The CTS should be located on the goose-neck where your Thermostat is housed; this is comming off the intake mannafold and into the radiator.
