Breaker bars will add leverage you might have to remove some of the intake stuff, and break cleaner which will loosen the bolts

just for starters

Well, I did that couple years ago. I did get the starter out w/o having to remove the manifold and the driver side axle. It's fairly easy if you take the starter a part, then pull each part out.
good luck!

Where is the Starter relay located on a 1997 Acura TL 2.5

The starter sits right above thepoint where the driver side half shaft CV axle enters the transmission. Youwill have to remove the half shaft to get it out.Your valuable feedback would be appreciated. Thanks for choosing Fixya

Car wont start may be fuel pump how do i change it?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. First of all you’ll need to check battery voltage, recharge it if it is low or jump start with another battery charger. Inspect, clean and tight both ends of all battery cables. Also check, clean and tight wiring connections. Check for voltage at relay. If relay has voltage but there is no "click" when key is turned to start, replace relay. Remove starter and inspect drive gear and flywheel teeth, replace damaged parts if necessary. Check to see if voltage reaches starter relay/solenoid when turn to start. If not, check for open P/N switch and brake or clutch pedal switch. Replace the parts which are defective.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Starter problems

Try to check battery. If it is fully charged it might be still starter.
Beacause you used rebuilt starter. For most Acura, Honda, Toyota
using rebuilt starter is not appropriate as it wont do the same job as brand new. You have to use brand new.
Good Luck
