The drivers seat will not recline, the seat still moves back and forth

Someone will have to remove the seat and check the motor and linkage to see what is broken.

HONDA ACCORD Seats Front Assembly Recliner went down and won't go up

I wouldn't ruin anything by trying things yourself

I would have a dealer check it out

The dealer I used in the past, has a seat specialist come
in on Wed only, around 5:30 after the service bays close
& one service writer hangs out until that person fixes a
couple vehicles seat issues

My automatic seatbelt doesnt work anymore. i have a 1990 accord lx 5-speed and it used to get stuck have way and know it wont recline at all. is it a bad fuse or the computer? i disconnected the seatbelt...

If both passengers and drivers side retractable belts have stopped moving, then it's likely the controller that's located under the passengers seat has gone bad. If only one side has stopped retracting and moving then that side motor has probably gone bad.

You have to check the power to the recliner motor. If there is power, then replace the motor.

My 99 Odyssey left front seat does not recline. It moves back and forth, but no sound or motion from the motorized recline when the switch is engaged. Thanks, Stuart

Yes... you have to push the electrical connector off the motor, and test whether there's 12 V across the pins when you operate the switch. But it really isn't TOO difficult to remove the seat. There are pop-off covers front and back, and you unscrew the 4 bolts. Take out the left middle seat, left the front seat carefully and disconnect the main connector. Then lay the front seat over and reconnect that main connector (use pliers if needed to unclip the socket from the body). Like I say, if there's 12 V there, your motor's no good! If no 12 V, then you'll have to troubleshoot the switch and harness. But I think the motor's kaputt, sorry!

Driver seat not moving back and forth

under the seat is a thin wire that goes from one side to the other it has most likely broke you need to find the secondary lock it was connected to and release it to move the seat but you must also release the main lock so i suggest replacing the wire . THIS IS FOR MANUEL SEATS
now as for power seats you will have to locate the power lead wire and make sure it is not broke if so you can replace the connecter with an aftermarket one and it may work again
