Question about 1996 Volkswagen Jetta
You will likely need to take your vehicle's VIN# to the VW Dealer to have the code provided. In some VW's the code can be found inside the trunk (spare tire well) or written in the Owner's Manual by a previous owner. The VW Dealer can only provide the original code, unless they have a record of previously changing the radio.
Way too many codes to run through each code manually.

Try taking the actual radio out of the dash.In many cases the code is on a sticker on the body casing of the radio.Be carefull not to force the radio out though.Make sure the four corners of the radio release because you will damage the dash if the four holes in the corners are not unlocked...
