I would get a Prestone Flushing Kit, it comes with a tee to install into the heater hose and then you can hook up a garden hose to the tee, with the supplied adapter, run the hose until you get clear water coming out of the radiator. Remove the garden hose and install the cap. Drain the water out of the radiator and refill with straight anti-freeze.

Need location of radiator plug on 2004 chevy venture

If it has one it would be on the bottom of the radiator. Most cars and trucks today don't have a plug or valve.
You are expected to use a recycling machine to flush the coolant.

How to flush the radiator on a chev blazer 2000 LS

If you are simply flushing the radiator, fill it with clean water (bottled is best) and run it through a few times. There is also "radiator flush" products that help break up build up in the radiator, that you can use; purchase at auto parts dealer near you - also, it's best to flush the block as well. You local auto parts dealer will have a tool (fairly cheap) that will allow you flush the entire system, as well as specific instructions.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

1994 Chevy Silverado temperature guage shows hot

Flushing the radiator, replacing the radiator cap, adding new coolant, replacing the sensors and a new thermostat solved the problem. Probably didn't need to do all of these things - but since we just purchased the truck, and given the fact that is probably hadn't been done in a while, we chose to do all of these things (which really didn't cost a whole lot), it's running like a charm now.

1993 chevy camero- thick, rusty colored residue in radiator

The rust is probably in the engine. There are many little pockets, water ways, water jackets (around the cylinders), etc, so getting all the rust out without dunking the block and heads in a cleaning tank is about imposible. I would recommend giving it really good flush every 4 to 6 months. I would try flushing the radiator before replacing it because it is probably not rusted, even though it is full of gunk.

We have a 1991 ford 350 and it is overheating

Most likely it's a stuck / faulty thermostat.

The two brass fittings are for the automatic transmission fluid cooler.

Some models simply don't use a drain valve.
