Take an OHM METER and check the connectors out to see if continuity is made. If not repair the short which should be close to the socket or the socket it self

I just put in a set of headlights on my 05 350z. They are they Spyder smoke and are plug and play. Hooked up HID and they worked fine, for a few minutes. Passenger side still works fine on low beam but...

For starters, "..worked fine, for a few minutes." sounds like a current overload issue. Is the headlight wattage greater than the wattage of the bulb(s) you are replacing? If so, you're asking for trouble; the least being burnt wires and circuits. Worst case would be a fire.
Assuming you're within wattage specs and assuming you've checked fuses, it's a matter of using a test light working backwards from the headlight ( if you have power to the headlight but light does not work, you either have a bad bulb or it is not getting "grounded").

I put in a new headlight bulb in the drivers side in but i dont have low beams but high beams work what is the problem?

Usually the low beam light of the bulb burns out first, so this new bulb is acting like it is defective. If the passenger side bulb is working for both low and high beams you could test this new bulb on that side to be sure. If it works OK on this side there may be a problem with the connector wiring on the driver side.

Weird tail light problem

HI Matt,
Your issue sounds like a fault, most likely in the rear lights. Current is feeding from the brake light circuit, into the running light circuit. The most common causes are a bulb filament broken and touching the running light circuit, and loss of ground.
observe the rear lights closely and you should get a clue as to which light is failing....but if not, just pick one....
I would run a temporary ground and test again, if no results, pull the brake light bulbs...
Transient current is often difficult to wrap your mind around, until you understand what can happen.

(it does not say if you out a new bulb in or not) I would just put a new bulb in. On my 2005 Cobalt. I drivers headlight didn't work but, when I locked the car it worked and my daytime runing lights did work.. so when I pulled into my drive way one was out and when I turned the key off. it came on.. It turned out to be the headlight bulb. Hope this helps..

The drivers side headlight on my 2002 Saab won't

This is probably a problem with the orange headlight relay under the hood in the relay black box. Take the relay out and clean contacts and put back in. If does not fix, try a new relay or swap with another 9-5 to troubleshoot.

I installed HID headlights and fog lights about 2 months ago and the passanger side went out. i took the drivers side bulb and put it into the passanger side to see if the bulb or the ballast was bad and...

The headlights run through a relay (#46) through the BCM. If the relay were bad (very common and has a recall) both lights would not work. Sooo, I'm thinking check the wiring and pigtail that goes to the bulb. People that use Silverstar halogeon bulbs will burn that wire and or the connector. Make sure these are sound, check for power at the connector too.

I'm having a hard time replacing the driver side headlight. Am I overthinking this?

Why are you trying to change the headlight? Is it broken?
If you are trying to change the bulb, because it is burned out, that is done from the rear of the housing. You have to exercise a bit of care getting the old bulb out and putting the new one in, but is it not difficult. If you are removing the right-side (from the driver's position) bulb, remove the battery (make sure you have your radio anti-theft code if you have one of those radios). Reach behind the headlight assembly, grasp the bulb holder retaining collar, turn it counterclockwise, then pull out the bulb/holder assembly. To remove the bulb from the holder, simply pull it straight out of the holder. Reverse procedure to lock the holder into place.
Removing the headlight housing is somewhat more involved. There are five bolts that hold it in place.

A torque bit screw driver are a philips screw driver should be all you need. JUST MAKE SURE NOT THE TOUCH THE BULB (new bulb) WITH YOUR FINGERS. Your body oil will make the bulb burn out quick!!!! Wear rubber gloves when installing the new bulb. f one is dim, you better change both sides. are the other side will also be dim.
