Have the fuel injectors cleaned, carbon, and restriction can cause the miss fire ,Carbon holds fuel, and also blocks spray from injectors, therefore dripping,or not spraying on time at all.

I failed to mention, fuel,it could be contaminated with water and such, try a fuel treatment called lucas, and water dryer called heet they are the best out there,if it is the fuel, that is the problem, you will see a difference with in a few miles.

2001 vw beetle died at stop light and now it will not start its not getting any fire

HAve you checked the crank sensor? the crank sensor is what times the motor and sends the spark signal from the ECU to the coil packs. typically these will act up a little before they all out quit, but in your case this could be a case where it gives with out warning.

My check engine light came on. It says that cylinder 2 missfire

Sounds like you due for new spark plugs and plug wires(If applicable). Also possible causes are cyl 2 coil pack, injector, and/or compression but not likely. Check plugs and wires first.

No spark but everything replaced new. still wont run

Doesn't sound like a coil pack fault i'd say either a bad earth or a cam/crankshaft sensor. have them both checked out by an auto electrician. Or you could be sleeping in your garage for months trying to sort the problem.

Have fault code P0302 on 2001 VW Beetle. No it is Cylinder 2 misfire. What is likely cause, bad spark plug, wire, or Electronic ignition box?

this car has what is called coil over ignition which means no plug wires or cap so if it is missing swap coil from cyl 2 and any other cyl then clear code and rerun car till light comes back on then check code if it is still cyl 2 missfire then replace that plug if code changes to the cylinder that 2's coil was on then replace that coil <that car does have a recall for coils> if car is not missing and you have that code most likely isnt an ignition problem but will have a small vaccume leak so check the small hoses for leaks. very common for fuel preasure regulater vaccume hose to brake from age

98 vw beetle misfiring after rain. New plugs, coil cas cracks????

Hi, Yes it certainly could be especially if water gets in. You should also check the distributor cap. The misfire sounds like an arcing problem so it would have to be one of those two things since you changed the rest. Good Luck!

Bad missing in motor on 2001vw beetle

If it is a 1.8 turbo the plugs are under the coil packs on top of the engine. A regular spark plug wrench will fit them. They are down in the block about six inches. They are easy to change. I changed them in about 30 min. The coil packs are held on by 2 torx screws.
