More than likely it wouldn't be the freeze plug but normally the these vehicles leak from the intake or the fitting for the heater hose going into the intake. but as far as freeze plugs there should be one behind the a/c compressor somewhere close by

Antifreeze leaking front right motor could it be freeze plug or water pump

If it's the right (passenger) front, it is probably either a hose or the plastic tank radiator has a crack-How cold has it gotten there, though? Because if you dont have 50/50 antifreeze, a freeze plug is a distinct possibility.

I have 2008 gmc yukon xl, ive replaced two compressors and i am on my third. makes a loud noise like doesnt want to engage blows cold then hot. and car shakes under hood makes crazy sounds. "snow flake"...

Sounds like the compressor is ok, but the orifice tube may be plugged, making the high pressure side shoot up to too high of a pressure rather quickly. When the pressure on the high side goes down, then the compressor tries to turn on and circulate refrigerant again, but can't for long because of the restriction.

There could be metal filings from the older compressors which were replaced still in the plumbing. Will have to evacuate the system and replace plumbing parts as necessary.

Hopefully your compressor is covered by warranty, but I would not count on it if contamination from old compressors was not properly removed by the prior service.

I would try to get warranty service, though.

The 'snow flake' blinks showing a problem in the a/c system.

My 1996 GMC Yukon 4x4 transmission will only drive in 1st and 2nd

It will take off from a stop in overdrive but as soon as it shifts into 3rd at about 30 miles per hour it jumps into neutral? If yes, you have a burnt 3/4 clutch. The transmission will need rebulit. Cost of about 1600 dollars.

Do i have to remove transmission to replace freeze plug on 1996 gmc sierra 5.0 vortec engine

Usually you can get rubber freeze plugs and if the freeze plug that is in the very back is leaking you will see the water coming from between the bellhousing and block - just be sure it isn't leaking above that and just looks like it is coming from the freeze plug between the block and tranny.
I would for sure check with a local mechanic first and let them see if it is just a heater hose or something above it. Usually a freeze plug goes for life.
Thanks for choosing Fix Ya
