I would start by checking you ground. It is surprising the havoc a poor ground can cause. Make sure both ends are absolutely clean and then retake your voltage reading.

Also check your wiring to the alternator, look for corroded connectors.

What is the normal battery voltage at idle for 2011 Accord SE.. Is 13.87 normal voltage under full load? Ac,lights, radio, defrost, wipers.

Yes Rick, 13.8 V is normal under full load.
Measure at the terminals again when the car is not running. Voltage should be between 12.0 to 13.3 V.
Any reading lower than 12, your battery is bad, and will eventually kill the alternator.
Good Luck!

sound like faulty alternator voltage regulator. check alternator out put at battery with engine idling should be 13.5 - 14.5 volts at 2000 rpm if not lower you have faulty voltage regulator.also check alternator drive belt and check alternator for loose wires.besure turn off radio before disconnecting negative battery cable to keep from locking out radio losing code.

This is a problem with the alternator. Diode rectifiers and voltage regulator replacement will give this baby a 14.2 voltage output. In this 3L V6 SUV removal of the alternator requires removing the right tire, the right axis and undercovering to reach the 6G alternator. It is a 133mm rectifier with a motorcraft, The serpentine belt is better removed from the bottom. Also keep a bucket on hand to recover the oil from the transmission.
