Cylinders 1 and 2 are misfiring causing major vibration and engine shut off while idling...is this a fuel injector problem?

This could be an ignition coil, spark plug, fuel injector or mechanical problem. You will need to isolate the issues and proceed accordingly. I would do some swapping arround. Swap the spark plugs 1 and 2 with m# and four and see if the misfire follows if it does you need plugs do the same with the coils again if the probles switches cylinders replace coils. if not then you may have to llok at injectors, compression and so on but I would try swapping things first

2000 mazda protege 1.6L my spark plugs are getting soaked with gas

bad fuel injectors. bad spark plugs - inspect and or replace -- bad spark plug wires - test ohms resistance of the spark plug wires with a multi meter (5 bucks at harbor freight) -- or simply replace the spark plug wires.
How was it you tested the coil and spark at the plugs?

I'd lean more towads faulty fuel injection, if you go to repai this, please be sure to add a quality fuel tank cleaner like lucas (the larger the bottle the less the cost per ounce - and works VERY well), You may also want to be sure to replace the fuel filter...
Best regards

All three of my front spark plug coils went bad, at different times, but I have had no problems with the rear ones. Is there a problem with the front coil placement or is this just a coinsidence.

have all the spark plugs been replaced when you have 1 bad spark plug you should replace them all same thing goes with the plug wire you can have the coil tested at the parts store i would replace the spark plugs and wires then go from there.

Ignition problem car runs on two cylinders randomly

if one spark plug were fouled or one plug wire was arcing to the engine then 2 cylinders would not work, the spark is controlled by the computerif its been 30,000 or sole miles since plugs and wires were changed change them it might fix it but at least you will know it isnt that and plugs would have been close to worn out anyway

ABS, Traction control and handbrake light is on. Car was running on 3 cylinders previous to the lights coming on. 1999 Mazda SP20 Familia (323)

I have a Mazda Capella (626) 1998 and had similar problem other than it was running on 4 cylinders and the hand brake light was not on and the ANSWER was a speed sensor which is to do with ABS system needed replacing. You can determine which one is broken by putting volt meter over each of them.

Buick Lesabre 1998, How you check the coil packs?

you can take them off and have them tested or you can pull the plugs and there should be two plugs that will be really black follow those wires back to the coil that is bad. or you could also have someone crank it while you stick a screwdriver in the end of the wire on the plug and hold the screwdriver next to the engine or a good ground and there should be a bright blue spark but be careful and dont touch the car or it might tickle a little bit

Coil problem [ misfire DTC code]

rx8 have a history of coil packs going bad internally and grounding out. best way to check if theyre bad is to pull the packs and inspect the back side. if you have discolorationg on the back side your packs are bad or are going to be bad soon. inspect the plugs if they are fouled or burnt replace them along with the coil packs.its a good idea to replace the wires too. and do not use cheap aftermarket parts. this will only cause more problems in the future. use oem or performance parts.
