2001 s-10 po 452 and co265

I have a po452 and co265 codes on a 2001 s-10. The SES light comes and goes. Sometimes it won't come on for a month at a time. Only one code, the po452. I have replaced the gas cap and the purge seloniod that is mounted on the rear axle. The only other thing I can think of is the FTP sensor that is on the fuel pump unit, Any advice? Also have a co265 code for the ABS which is Elec. Brake Control Module Motor Relay Circuit or something along those lines. This code also comes and goes, could this be a relay? I would think it would be electrical since sometimes it's fine and other times it throws my ABS light on. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Hey i have the same problem with the po452 but i cant find anything. but i also had the co265 problem and turns out it is a faulty abs brake system and the only way to fix it is to get a new brake controule module, its the crome flat thing in the right back corner of the s10 if you where standing in front of it. it has a couple of wires that plug into the bottom and a couple screws holding it down just unplug and unscrew, then the thing should pull straight up it will have six prongs sitting there if you pulled apart the right thing. the only bad thing is finding another one for cheap. i was stressing because you can only get them new from the dealership and they cost a thousand bucks or more, so i went to the junk yard and got one for 5 bucks and havent had the code pop up.

After you replaced all these parts did you clear the ECM with a OBD II scanner or did you just leave it?

Just had fuel pump replaced code po452 came the check engine lite

Depending on the make model and year, code 452 means there is a problem with the pressure sensor for the gas tank. The sensor could have been damaged, or not connected.

I got code PO 452, PO 443, PO 449 all EMS codes what do I need to replace and how hard to do your self?

The codes only tell the mechanic what to test, not what to replace.
You would need to get the shop manual for your vehicle to have the test instructions for each code.
Code 452 is a problem with the fuel tank pressure sensor circuit, 443 is evap canister purge and 449 is the vent valve circuit.
The evap system and those components would need to be checked out.

Code 452 is for a low voltage signal coming from the pressure sensor. The computer sends voltage to the sensor and expects a return voltage within a certain range.
If you have replaced the pressures sensor and the problem continues, it may be in the wiring between the computer and the sensor.

Have 04 mercury grand marquis check engine light is on for code po452 had that fixed and light still on

Well ---PO 452 is still FTP Sensor Circuit Low Voltage Detected
new sensor or not

If the sensor reads less than .22volts with key on /engine off --you get a hard fault (code)

Check Sensor Connector

Sensor with no pressure or vacuum in tank is 2.4 to 2.8 volts
Key On/Eng Off On scan tool PIDS

You just need a shop with a data base & proper test procedure
or a different tech or different dealer.

I have the 2004 gas engine emissions diagnostic manual for all

Failed 2001 chevy blazer code 452

(PO452 general motors code, low evaporative emmisions control input) Believe it or not it could be that the gas cap is not on tight or needs to be replaced. Other than that: vacuum line or evap. canister leak.
