Question about 1998 GMC Jimmy
I am a GM factory trained techincian, there is no set number of miles to clear the drive cycle not ready code, if u follow the instructions below exactly it may only take 10-20 miles, the computer (known as the PCM) must test everything in the emisssion system and the engine control system, this takes time and varied driving, stop, go, idle, low speed and freeway driving, here is the GM drive cycle test you must perform to clear the "not ready" code.
