Question about 2001 Volkswagen Beetle
2001 Volkswagon Beetle 1.8l turbo - digital odometer stays on when car is turned off and drains the battery overnightm, or if let for a couple of hours, drains battery enough so car needs to be jumped. How can I keep the digital odometer from staying on?

Was any work just done to this car? Timing belt? It is rare that these pumps go bad but I have seen a few shell out. If you are not familiar with the ALH diesel engine I would not try to replace it. You should take it to a shop that specializes in VW's.

Push the center piece, on the dash, forward until it unsnaps and exposes the screws for the passenger side piece. Take the piece off and you will see the filter bracket down in the dash. Remove the filter and replace with new one.

Fuse for radio is located in fascia fuse box
Open driver door,unclip plastic panel end of dash
Cheeck/replace fuse 44 15amp
Should be a diagram in fuse box
