The crank sensor is on the front side of the car. right under the exhaust manifold, you are going to see to wires plugs under the ignition coil. one is for the o2 sensor on the exhaust manifold and the other one is for the crank sensor. i believe is a number 10 wrench that you need to take lose the bolt, once you take the bolt out you can pull the sensor right out. and put the other one the same way,

SOURCE: 2004 Chevy Aveo cranks but won't start. Where

I believe that what you are saying is that it is turning over but will not crank...(run), not sure what your problem is, but I can help you to narrow it down. In order for your engine tp crank...start...run, you need three things to be right..#1 adequate compression, #2 ample spark, #3 the correct fuel/air mix. The first thing i would check is spark..reason, #1 failure of the 3. You can start by seeing if you have spark at the plug(S)...Just because you have it on one does not mean that you have it on all. 2nd most common failure would be no fuel...improper mix, you are fuel injected, so likely a sensor/computer issue...and the most uncommon of the 3 would be a compression issue. Which would likely not occur on all cylinders so the engine would still run, unless the cause was a broken timing belt. Gives you something to start on. Good Luck.Hope this helps.

SOURCE: how do you change an oxygen sensor on 2006 chevy aveo

There is a special socket for O2 sensors which allow the wires to stick out and not get twisted up. It's not expensive and available at most auto parts stores. Disconnect the sensor from the wiring harness, with the plug and then use the socket to remove and replace the new sensor. Re-connect electrical plug.

There is only 2 options.

1. Your radio code is in your paperwork for your car (Its on a hard plastic card) Find it.

2. Take your registration to Vin and Ser Number for your radio to your local dealer.

These codes are a guarded secret and no one code fits all.

Hope this tip helps guide you in the correct direction to solve this problem.

2004 Chevy Aveo in Minor fender bender now won't start where is fuel shut off reset

Technically, you don't have one.
If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. Any applicable trouble codes?
If only a fuel issue, check voltage and ground at the fuel pump, note the wire colors, also, check the fuel pump relay.

Is not getting fuel to injectors has new cpu and crank sensor and a new cam sensor. motor is new .i was told when it died going down the hiway it needed a new engine, but this is what has been going on...

check the fuel pump and related electrical system and fuses. The aveo doesn't have a fuel filter but only a screen at the bottom of the pump. I had to replace the fuel pump in my 2004 aveo at 80k due to a clogged screen. Hope this helps
