There is aplastic plug ( black ) ( blends right in ) in the bottom rear on the drivers side. But no your changing the antifreeze as service? remove the lower hose from the raditior and wash it out good. remove the therostate and wash it out good too and replace that service part too. do it right mix your antifreeze with distilled water or buy it premixed

How to replace antifreeze in 2003 ford expedition

once you get the correct anti-freeze for the car, drain the radiator and if your so inclined you can remove the block drain plugs to drain the engine block. close up all drains and then add your anti-freeze. add one jug of water with one jug of anti-freeze to get the proper mixture. when the rad is full run the motor to operation temp and make sure the coolant system is full as well as make sure the overflow bottle is full.

When I do a flush on my 2008 HHR how much antifreeze does it take to refill my system?

on average they take 2 jugs anti-freeze mixed with water to fill the system if it is totally drain, meaning the rad block and heater core is drained. if your just draining the radiator and what drains out of the engine while draining the rad its more like 1 to 1.5 jugs of anti-freeze/water mix.

How many gallons of antifreeze will it take ?

Anti freeze is mixed on a 50/50 basis. The coolant capacity varies so check the hand book for capacities and mix the anti freeze to water before adding to radiator. Drain radiator first so as not to mix different anti freeze products.

Get the anti freeze you are going to use first. Drain the radiator at the plug under it. Refill with water and proper amount of anti freeze for protection to the proper temp for your area.

Need to flust anti freeze.Anti freeze is a thick ,gummy texture..

if the anti freeze is not serviced regularly the dexcool will start sludging up the system
if the old type (green)anti freeze was added this will also cause the same.
drain system completely & add water,run for 10 -15 minutes & drain.do this a couple times
& then add a good flshing agent with the water.you may need to do this several times with
flushing material.after it looks better.add anti freeze & consider reflushing 1K miles or so
dont forget to bleed the system of air. bleeder valve(flat head screw) near thermostat

good luck

We are changing the water pump need to refill the system

If you are asking if you will need to drain the fluid then yes you will have to drain at least half of the anti freeze before removing the water pump. I would recomend buying an extra gallon before you start because if you are needing a new water pump the chances are that you have lost some fluid already. but you can reuse the fluid that you drain just make shure that you use a clean container to catch the fluid. Another note is when buying you anti freeze check what color anti freeze you have. You never want to mix green with orange.

What type of antifreeze to purchase for my 2005 sorento?

Anti-freeze comes in different brands and longevity. This means that some do retain their quality for up to 50,000-miles, while others of lesser quality must be drained and recycled when they no longer protect the car's cooling system.
If you prefer a non-toxic anti-freeze for enviromental reasons, then you would pay more for that particular brand.
Some anti-freeze comes diluted 50/50 with water. However, most the important info to look for are all written on each brand, especially maximum freezing capability.
However, any anti-freeze capable of keeping its liquidity at minus 20-degree Farenhit would be a good for your car.
It is good practice to avoid contacting the car's body/paint with anti-freeze. Storing anti-freeze at a home dwelling is strictly discouraged.

What type of anti freeze should I add?

Suzuki forenza uses Green silica based anti-freeze. If you mix the wrong kind with it, it will gum up your thermostat (90 dollars) and potentially mess with some of the smaller cooling fluid tubes and passages. Not to mention, the water pump is not to fond of gritty fluid. So if you see discoloration in the bright green fluid, better drain it, flush the system out with a garden hose for 5 to 10 minutes, and refill it with new fluid.
