They are often easiest to change from underneath at the backside of the engine which is very hard to do unless you have it on a hoist.

We have a mechanic friend that wouldn't even touch changing the spark plugs on our '01 Town and Country. We had to have the oxygen sensor replaced and had that mechanic change our spark plugs at the same time.

Would a 2001 chryler town and country faulty engine module cause number 2 cylinder not to fire

not likely, since the engine module also fire the plug across from the #2 cylinder on the coil pack. check for spark directly at the coil, if none is found ,then most likely a bad coil pack.

Ijust spent 300. on a complete fuel system clean...carbon blast . my town & country ,01 still hesitates at initial acceleration. Just like it was doing prior to the work. so now what?

do you have an engine light?1) check your spark plugs first. when is the last time you had a tune-up? it could be the ignition/timing. might need a new distributor cap/spark plugs/plug wiring. 2) check your intake and look for any vaccum leaks and check your engine light if you do, if you do and its a mass air flow input low, then you need a new maf sensor. 3) if you have a clean fuel system, then that is eliminated as a problem.

Town and country van started hesitating and engine(?) exhaust(?) back firing? it has plenty of oil, wondering if it's a fuel filter?

Hello, I have seen a lot of these vans back fire because of bad plugs. The reason being two of the back spark plugs are very hard to get to and when a lot of shops did a tune up they don't replace them. So it probably needs them 2 plugs changed for sure.

I'm trying to do a tune up on my 2001 town and country what are the best spark plugs and wires to use

Bosch overall has the best track record for durability and longevity. I do not suggest the multi spark type plugs or platinums. A regular core type bosch plug and set of wires will give you years and many miles of service. Always replace coil/coils at the same time to maximize ignition spark.

Engine light comes on and flashes 5 pause and then 1 wht it means?

on many vehicles especially a chrysler/dodge product, anytime the check engine light flashes is due to a misfire whether it be electrical or fuel related.check the coil, spark plug wires especially on the rear head towards the firewall , and spark plugs if tune up hasnt been done recently. hope that helped you!!

How do I get to the spark plugs in a 2001 chrysler town and country

3.3l or 3.8l fronts are easy. Back three, welcome to hell. From underneath, reach up along exhaust to get to the plugs and wires. If you don't want that easy approach, you remove the front cowling under the windshield that also houses the wiper motor assembly. Get parts from dealer (they are cheap and you don't want to do this again)

Tune up on cown and country (chrysler)

I just changed the rear spark plugs on my 1997 Chrysler Town & Country this weekend. It took me about 7 hours to do everything. When you replace the rear spark plugs, its a good item to replace everything i have listed below. Listed below are the items i changed while i was in there:

Valve Cover Gaskets
All 6 sparks (the rear are the hardest) I used the Bosch Plat. +4
Intake manifold gasket (only cost $3-4)
Throttle body gasket.
Air filter
Spark Plug Wires

I also bought some throttle body cleaner and sprayed the throttle body to clean it out. When the throttle body is dirty your van can stall.
I took pictures of everything i took apart, which i can email you to help you out.

Thank You,
Nip
