If you can use a screwdriver and find a repacement indicator stalk assembly you can fix it yourself ! sounds like the plastic flex return has broken off the indicator stalk (common problem ) remove plastic shroud from steering column. 2 screws will hold the indicator stalk in place remoove those & unplug the electrical connection- replace with new indicator stalk

Turn signal switch repair

The steering column wheel has 2 pins pushed into the back side of it and as you turn the steering wheel making a turn, the pins slide over the humps of the blinker signal. As you return the wheel back to center to drive straight, these pins then hit the humps in the turn signal and push the turn signal back to the original position. It sounds like one of these pins fell out or broke off. You need to pull steering wheel and check to see if these pins are still inserted on the back side of the steering wheel.

Once engaged, the turn signal doesn't automatically turn off (reset) after the turn. Same for right and left turns.

the return catch on the multi switch is broken, in order to repair this issue you must replace the multi-switch.

The left turn signal will not cancel automatically

The left turn cancel return spring has broken. It is part of the turn signal switch. In order to replace you will need to get a steering wheel puller kit, a couple of picks and a snap ring pliers. This will allow you to remove the steering wheel, airbag clock spring, the steering wheel lock plate. and the horn ring. After those are removed you will have access to the turn signal switch. You will see the two springs in the switch. One will definetely no look the the other. The springs can be purchased individually from you local GM dealer. Might as well replace both as long as everything is taken apart.

Turn signal lever not returning to mid position. what needs to be replaced? And how do I replace it?

usually it's on left turns correct? you need to remove the steering wheel to access the signal switch.there is a return spring that's mounted on the switch that breaks. you really need a puller and other specialty tools to do this repair

If the turn signal is stuck in the position, then the turn signal switch is bad,now if the turn signal just stays on,and does not blink, and the turn signal lever returns to the neutral position, then it is a bulb that is bad on that side on the car,,front, side,or rear.If the turn signal moves to the left position, and returns back to the neutral position,it is ok,unless it is blinking, then it would be bad,the turn signal switch.
