The first time it was brief, I was driving at low speed in town - I thought it was the road. Last week it happened two days in a row. I was stopped and upon acceleration, again brief. Then, I was driving straight, again at low speed (45mph) it was so loud I thought the transmission was coming out, I pulled off the road and had it towed to mitsubishi - where they can't duplicate the noise or find a problem. The engine didn't turn off but it felt like it lost power.

i'm sorry, i'm stumped. without being there to test drive, i have no clue. the only thing i can think of is to find a nice mechanic who is willing to take the time to duplicate the condition. if there is no check engine light, it doesn't necessarily mean there are no fault codes stored. a good tech with the right tools will be able to determine any stored codes. it seems the dealer didn't want to get to involved with the intermitent fault. since his business is money driven. he would have to spend too much time on it. i don't know if the problem could be temperature related or not. i would try calling around to find out if someone is willing to take on your problem. also, discuss cost, as there could be substantial time invovled

Installing power running boards , cant get the passanger side to go down. What wires do I connect to. Driver side is working.

The driver's side is usually attached to the passenger side, so thee is only 1 inline fuse from the truck's wiring to trigger the running boards. Sounds bad, but routing the wire up the driver's side kick panel and under the dash, down the passenger side and out the hole in the passenger side door sill is the route most use.

If you have the driver's side working, you found circuit # 53, the black with light blue stripe. Circuit 875 also shares the same color code, and you do not want to use this wire.

Grinding sound on front passenger side of 91 honda accord.

Well, if the transmission seems to be okay , The timing belt or chain is most likely the noise based on the age of the vehicle. The tech you took the vehicle to should be able to pin point the noise with stethascope ears.

Make sure the oil level is full.

Good Luck
