Question about 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 Club Cab
Replaced front seal twice on my '97 Dodge Ram 1500, V6 transmission and it is still leaking. Purchased seals from O'Reily's. Using ATF4 fluid.
Assembly of converter to trans and then tunit to engine? The torque converter must engage and slide into the front pump. The seal is easily damamaged if not properly fitted.Once the trans is against the engine the converter can be slid forward to bolt the flex plste. There should not be more than approx. 1/4 inch between the converter and trans bell housing if the converter is properly mated to the trans. Good Luck, Ned.
