This part is almost the least expensive part in the a/c system to replace. In your case unless there is a hole in the accumulator/dryer it may just need a few o-rings replaced. Checking online the part runs anywhere from 50-100 depending on where it is purchased.Your local auto parts pricing may be pretty close to this as well.

You may have a issue with the idle control valve. Does the service engine soon light come on?? Sometimes it does not come on for this problem. or you could have a vacuum leak by or around the manifold. Good-Day!

2004 Chevy Impala Power Steering gone

If it is a line no it usually isn't big or expensive. If it is your pump that is expensive for the part but usually not to bad to do. But first see if it is that or if you live where it is really cold it could have just overflowed.

Heater core instructions for 04 Chevy Impala SS

Before you go thru that expense. If it is water leaking, check the evaporator. Sometimes it gets plugged with debris. So first, decide if it is water or anti-freeze. Also, I have taken the heater hoses off of the inside of the motor area and flushed the core out. It works on some.

I smell gas in the interior of my chevy 2004 impala what would cause this?

a fuel leak somewhere in your engine compartment. if you can't find it and fix it..get it fixed professionally ASAP! that can get dangerous very quickly. the leak is flowing into your ventalation system through the hood then up into the cowel vent at the base of your window. keep your vents closed and drive with your windows rolled down until its fixed.
