It sounds like some thing you have done if the fault started after the tune , did you check the gap on the new plugs, check the firing order as it may be messed up . 4 cylinder 1342 6 cylinder 153624 in direction of rotation.

I bought a used 1995 for escort. it has a miss an is getting worse. i changed the spark plugs. i took the spark plug wires off one at a time. 3 of them made the miss worse and 1 did nothing. it's

Not without more testing.
It could be a fuel problem or something mechanical like a valve.
You would do a compression test next to verify all 4 cylinders have normal compression.
If they do, and that 4th plug wire was providing spark to the plug, I would expect you to find something going on with the injector.

Hard starting, rough idle when cold, then smooth running when warm

Need year/make/model/mileage of vehicle to provide a more specific set of troubleshooting steps.

When was the last tune up? Hard starts when cold are usually caused by fouled spark plugs, worn plug wires, or weak ignition coils. Fuel systems are not as effected by temperature changes as the ignition components.

Idle good when cold, hotter it gets the worst it idles especially when sitting at stop lights

simple test for a vacuum brake booster
star and run the engine at idle without applying the foot brake
if it gets worse when the foot brake is applied , it is a vacuum leak in the booster ( replace the booster )
otherwise check for failed vacuum hoses including under dash control lines , vacuum leak at the manifold or EGR unit

Feels and sounds like it is missing -starts with no problems runs rough usually every gear(1996-5-speed) Could it be a vacuum hose--How do I know?

If it is a vacuum hose, the vehicle will idle fast. Take a spray bottle and put some water in it and while the engine is running spray it around the spark plug wires. If it gets worse around a particular wire, replace that wire, better yet replace all of them and put in new plugs, but get the plugs from Saturn garage, the wires will be ok from Advance or wherever, but not the plugs.

I would check your intake gasket. Get your self ome carb cleaner in a spray form/can and perfrom this test. Run the car and spray the carb cleaner on your intake gasket which is right by your injectors. So pretty nuch spray it at the injector rail and listen fot change in idle, If the idle changes, the intake gasket is torn and you are running lean, because of a vaccum leak. Common problem on your model car. Perform test and let me know what you find.

2005 Wrangler 4.0 idle problem when hot. Idle fluncuates, hangs up at 100 to 2200 RPM. Seems to be worse with A.C. ON.

Sounds like a vacuum leak to me start it up and get a can of brake cleaner or soap and water can find it also, I use starting fluid. Spray 1 thing at a time non electronics, intake, injectors while doing that look for loose wires. Then pop the hood in the dark and look for sparks could be a plug wire "white or blue" spark. Good luck
