You obviously , have a drain in the system, could be a simple as the glove box light staying on, otherwise, run you car down to the mechanics and ask him just to check your alternator is working, he shouldn't charge you to do that. all the best and good luck

1988 silverado new starter cilcks wont start battery charged

there are only a few things that will cause this. either a low battery or a bad starter solinoid. check the cables from battery to starter first and make sure there tight and clean. I personally think you got a bad starter! try another to rule it out, or go to a auto parts store and have them test the starter, most will. but you have to remove it first. good-day! hope this helps you !

2 things come to mind, first check and clean all battery and starter connections. second, maybe you have something draining the battery. next time it rolls slow, put on a battery charger and see what happens. also, even though it is a new battery, it still could have a weak cell.

Check your battery connections. Did you get them tightened all the way down when you put the new battery in? If it's tight, look at the cable itsself. Is it corroded or frayed? If so, you'll need to replace the cable. Also check to make sure the other end of the cable is tight. It hooks to the back of the starter, so you'll have to get down there, and make sure that it's tight. if all this has failed, you'll want to check your ignition switch.
