I know I don't know everything but I searched for 30 minutes in my Dodge manual and cannot find a "bwd transmission control solenoid"

I could assume you want to replace the TCC but I hate to assume

Could you please update and advise?

if my assumptions are correct then...
Remove valve body.
Remove 3 screws mounting TCC solenoid to valve body.
i NEED TO KNOW - 88369ad.gif
Remove TCC solenoid.
Remove spring and regulator valve throttle pressure plug as needed.

To install, reverse removal procedure.
Tighten screws to 44 in-lbs

you don't have to pull the trans unless you have nothing else to do for 8 hours LOL

just drop the oil pan to get to the valve body

Oh my You are a sweet heart. LOL if I had another vehicle I would spend the eight hours. . I did drop the pan. But didn't see the piece do I need to remove the unit that is bolted inside to find It.

once you remove the pan you will see...

    here are your instructions...
    Disconnect negative battery cable.
Disconnect gearshift cable from manual valve lever.
    Remove manual valve lever.
    Raise and support vehicle.
Disconnect shift linkage or cable from shift lever on manual shaft assembly. Remove shift lever from manual shaft assembly.
Remove bolts, oil pan, oil filter and "O" ring.
Remove valve body/transfer plate-to-transaxle case bolts.
Note bolt length and location for reassembly reference.
Move roller on parking sprag rod from park sprag guide bracket.
Lift valve body and manual shaft assembly from transaxle case.

The transmission has electronic controlled shifting. It may be an electrical problem, not a mechanical problem inside the transmission. A transmission shop could diagnose the problem and give you a definitive answer.

How do i get my 2000 dogde carvan out of low gear

I'm guessing that the problem you have is the van only has 2nd gear. This is limp mode. You need to have the Transmission control module scanned for codes. You likely have a bad speed sensor. Does the speedometer work?

I have a doge gran carvan 2000 or 2001 3.3v6 i have cods coming up as falows p1775 p0732 p1788 p0700 p0456 can eny buty tell me wher to start got it today at an auction dont know much

CODE P1775 - A / T OR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SWITCH LATCHED IN TCC POSITION. CODE PO732 - A / T ADDITIONAL GEAR RATIO ERROR IN SECOND GEAR. CODE PO700 - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM MALFUNCTION CODE PO456 - EVAP SYSTEM SMALL LEAK DETECTED.POSSIBLE CAUSE FUEL TANK CAP LOOSE OR DAMAGED , SMALL LEAK PRESENT SOMEWHERE IN EVAP SYSTEM. I DID NOT SEE CODE P1788. BUT CODES P1775, P0732 , PO700 , YOU HAVE INTERNAL TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS TRANSMISSION SHOP HAS TO HOOK DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT TO CHECK TRANSMISSION PRESSURE SOLENOIDS AND SHIFT SOLENOIDS. TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY HAS MANY SOLENOIDS PRESSURE SWITCH AND SENSORS COST TOO MUCH REPLACE THEM ALL LET GARAGE SCANNED TRANSMISSION BE MUCH CHEAPER.

Regarding the Check Engine Light: Do you have a Digital Odometer? If So with the Engine Light ON = you have a Code. Insert the Key in the Ignition. Turn the Key three (3) times from OFF to ON (not Start) which is the position just before Start. On the third (3rd) time leave the Key in the ON (not Start) position. Look at the digital odometer space. Write down and Codes that are present. For Example "P 0430". The last code will be "donE" = it is done giving you codes. Respond a Comment back to this Post and let me know what Code(s) are showing. I am assuming you have a 4-speed transmission?
There are 2-speed Sensors on the front of the transmission. Input and Output Speed Sensors.
They are level with each other, right above the top line of the Solenoid (wiring harness goes into this box-like assembly) The one that is closest to the Solenoid is the Input Sensor. The one (at the same level) towards the left side of the van is the Output sensor. The Output Sensor is most likely malfunctioning. Unplug this and ceck the electrical connnection. Remoe and corrosion or oxidation (white stuff) from both sides of the metal connections. Replug in and check operations. Because of it's location, these Sensors are prone to corrosion and oxidation. If that does not work: Unplug again and remove the Output Sensor. I believe a 1-in wrench or 1-inch Deep Socket will work, after you unplug the sensor. Before replacing the sensors - you may clean the metal particles off the interior tips of the Sensors and reinstall and check operations. IF this does not fix the problem: Unplug, Remove and Replace this Output Sensor.

2001 Dodge grand caravan sport. Transmission slipping/ jerking. Seems to run only in second gear... still slips and jerks. Smells of burnt trans fluid and the level is low on the dipstick.

I need a little mor info. But the reason for the being stuck in 2nd gear is because when something goes wrong with the tranny. it goes into "LIMP" mode wich keeps the trans. from shifting out of 2nd when you are going forward. It does sound like your trans. is gone out though.

The airbag light comes on and stays on for about 20 seconds while driving. Does this intermittantly. Dodge grand carvan sport 2001 Whats it trying to tell me?

More than likely the clock spring (spiral connection) will need to be replaced, but you need to have it scanned for codes to verify. It can be several other things as well but most of the time it's the clock spring. Don't put it off too long, when the light is on the airbag system is dissabled.
