Hi,

The solenoid pack is located on the front of the transmission. You will have to remove the input speed sensor directly above it, and remove the 3 10mm bolts holding it down to the trans case. When you put the new one on it will wobble and feel funny while tightening it down, and it won't feel right. As long as the gasket is still in place, just go with it. There are 3 dowel pins on it that actually draw up into it while tightening the pack. Here is a picture of the location.

Hope i helped you.

What causes codes 700 and 740 to set on a 2005 dodge grand caravan?

P0700 is just the powertrain control module being signed to turn the check engine light on to indicate alert you to a transmission issue. As far as the other one goes you likely have a failed Torque converter clutch so the solenoid would not fix the problem. You will need to remove the transmission and replace the TC

2001 Dodge grand caravan sport. Transmission slipping/ jerking. Seems to run only in second gear... still slips and jerks. Smells of burnt trans fluid and the level is low on the dipstick.

I need a little mor info. But the reason for the being stuck in 2nd gear is because when something goes wrong with the tranny. it goes into "LIMP" mode wich keeps the trans. from shifting out of 2nd when you are going forward. It does sound like your trans. is gone out though.

2001 dodge caravan sport 3.3 need to know what weight oil it take

The correct oil weight is 5W20, but 5W30 can be used also. Be consistant when using oil, try to use the same brand and always use the same viscosity. This vehicle requires 4.5 liters of engine oil.
