You may need a set of spark plugs and wires. I would check for any cracked or disconnected vacuum hoses. I would also check the air filter and replace the fuel filter, if it hasn't been done for awhile.

I just fixed this problem today on my car. I actually had 2 problems though. I had an intake gasket that went bad for one and some of my fuel injection seals went bad. Try checking to see if you can hear a leaking air noise maybe? Or you could take an propane torch that isn't lit and run if up and down that area to see if the engine rpm changes.

Keep getting P0308 code misfire

A misfire code is set because one of three things is missing or not right: spark, gas, or compression. You checked compression and it's good, equal to the other cylinders? And there is spark on #8? That leaves a fuel problem, then. How does the spark plug look on #8- if the appearance is white, almost a blistered look to the bottom of the plug, that is an indication of lean running- not enough gas in the mixture at that cylinder. You may have an injector problem on #8.

Engine misfire at idle

130k on the I6 engine isn't even broken in yet! We regularily get 300k on them. Couple of things come to mind, the "miss" you're feeling in gear is probably motor mounts, have these checked along with tranny mounts. I've seen them so bad it feels like it's running on 4-5 cylinders. 4-5mpg???? never seen that on these engines, any check engine lights? I'd take this to a shop and get it hooked up to a Tech 2 to nail the problem down. You have a lot of things going on that needs a pro's attention. Hate to see you throw parts at it not knowing exactly what's causing what problem.

2003 isuzu rodeo. idles smooothly upon accelleration is not smooth almost feels like a miss but its irratic. when you come up on a uphill grade does want to accelerate at all

Sounds like it could be plugged catalytic converter. If the more you press on the accelorator the worse it runs this could be it. Have someone rev the motor and put your hand at the exhaust. If you don't feel much air flow thYs probably it

Engine seems to miss at slow excelleration speeds. moderate to high excelleration miss is none existant. In Idaho I replaced the crank sensors 3 weeks ago because engine was shutting down at idle...

When you replace the crank sensors you need to do the crankshaft learn. You have to use a scan tool to do that and I believe it has to be a GM Tech 2 Get some gas treatment and replace the fuel filter. But you do need to get/do the crankshaft learn done

The motor will hardly run when in idle, smooths out when you excellerate. replaced plugs, wires, distributor, and still doing the same thing

Did you check that the gas tank is properly sealed? If air is getting into the gas tank i.e. a leak in gas, air comes in if gas is low. then your truck with idle bad.

Stall out when given gas to excellerate ... runs fine in idle

For all those out there that have had problems with your Chevy Aveo Stalling, inconsistent idling, hard to start, or throttle problems, Hollywood Harv has the answer for you. Try a new Valve Idling Air Cont GM part number 93744675. You only need one and it has to be install by Chevrolet so they can place in the codes to make it work properly. Toss the old one away as most likely has so much carbon build up on the part that it stuck or struggling to function properly. It worked on mine after many different attempts at other stuff! This is a sure winner! Good luck and drive safe! Hollywood Harv
