Question about 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT
You may need a set of spark plugs and wires. I would check for any cracked or disconnected vacuum hoses. I would also check the air filter and replace the fuel filter, if it hasn't been done for awhile.

I just fixed this problem today on my car. I actually had 2 problems though. I had an intake gasket that went bad for one and some of my fuel injection seals went bad. Try checking to see if you can hear a leaking air noise maybe? Or you could take an propane torch that isn't lit and run if up and down that area to see if the engine rpm changes.
