Question about 1995 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
It could be a broken thermostat. This will prevent the anti-freeze from flowing through the system and make the temp gauge to run high. Look at the thermostat see if it is broken. It's generaly an $18-$20 part. Check it quickly, because if you keep running it too hot, it could mess up your engine block. If that's not the problem have the water pump check. I always go cheapest way first, then another route. Fred

You find a 17 mm bolt under the belt or a 15 mm bolt in the middle of the tension pulley. If you undo the bolat this will
release the belt tension.
To remove the belt turn the bolt by slipping a 4' pipe over the socket wrench handle.
Use a wrench as a lever to slide out the belt. Put the new belt last on the idler pulley that contacts the belt only on the smooth side.
Do not unscrew the Button Torx bolt in the center of the tension pulley, it is not needed.

pull off rear mirror panel, pull off electric seat adjuster knobs, pull off plastic around door handles. Unbolt top of handle. Pull out light at bottom of door. Unscrew plastic stiker plate and remove. Unscrew lock knob to remove. Then your ready to wiggle and pull the panel up and off, be careful of the area around the door handle, you may even want to pry that area out before you begin.
