Where is the radiator drain plug on a 1999 chrysler 300M?

It will be located at the bottom of one of the radiator side tanks. One tank acts as the transmission oil cooler, and the other for engine coolant. The mechanism used to open the petcock will be facing the engine compartment. Typically it is a round knob that you turn counter-clockwise. Some require you turn and pull outward at the same time. Those only require about a half turn max and will not turn any more, but will drain the radiator.

The thermostat don't work where is it located at to put it on the 99 chrysler 300m

Jacquelin! The thermostat n a 3.5 Chrysler 300M is on the block right next to, and toward the front of the engine by the oil filter. Yes, that sems a bit strange, but then I'm not a bit surprised about this engine any more. As the big radiator hose leaves the radiator finding its' way toward the block, it terminates at a traditional "goose neck" at the block behind the power steering pump- only accessible by removing the oil filter and using an extension and a u joint BUT FIRST: lower the anti freeze in the system by draining some fluid. But anyway- THAT'S where it is. Have fun, fix it up and GO!

if you dip your finger in and taste it should be sweet and horrible sort of taste .if in doubt then remove the bottom hose and let it drain then flush with a garden hose .Then add the neat antifreeze any colour or make but it must be 100% ,depending on area and cold in winter use anything from 50% to neat stuff if you live in ice road truckers land

I am finding small puddles of coolant on the garage floor... any ideas what it could be. I just had the coolant flushed and filled over 2 months ago.

If there were no leaks prior to the cooling system being flushed I would first check the drain petcock on the bottom of the radiator to ensure it is tight and/or not cross threaded if it was taken out completely. Next check all the obvious things like your hoses for any bulges or visable damage and check to make sure they are all clamped and secure. If all checks out ok so far drive it around until it reaches operating temp. park it open your hood and look for any leaks while it is hot and the cooling system is pressurized.

I cant find the themostat in my 99 chrysler 300m

Depending on engine:

V6: Follow LOWER radiator hose from radiator to thermostat housing.

V8: Follow TOP radiator hose from radiator to thermostat housing.

Please let me know how I may assist further.

99 300m overheated--replaced thermostat still over heating. ?? How do I add antifreeze to the engine

hi, you can add two ways, one is threw the the over flow tank and the other is threw the radiator cap. i would flush the radiator soon. you may have sludge build up that is interfering with the flow of coolant.
